After a few conversations with another guardian LordNuker8 I've come to realize how well designed the bad juju is.
The quest to get it in year one was challenging. It is a great all around gun that excels in pve yet still retains its value in pvp. It isn't overpowered, but can turn the tide of a battle at its ideal range.
It is one exotic that has been almost completely untouched since day one (I think they added a few rounds to the original magazine if I recall correctly.)
Maybe Bungie can use this as a model for balancing weapons in the future. Whoever designed this gun, well done sir / ma'am!

Just think of the bad juju as a jade rabbit pulse rifle
-
Its aim assist is broken, only thing making it unviable
-
It was my go to primary aside from Fatebringer and VoC. A well-paced Bad Juju absolutely destroyed Thorn back in HoW. That just goes to show how good certain guns stood out from the rest.

1 ReplyEdited by Swiftlock: 12/6/2016 3:32:21 PMBad Juju has always been just a very solid weapon, but nothing overly amazing in my opinion. It eats your exotic slot for something that is more of a convenience than a game-changer. For me, it's a weapon you pull out for fun once in a while when you're bored. It's very decent in PvE, but often times the high damage output of exotic specials/heavies are more beneficial for endgame content than a slightly faster super charge and unlimited primary ammo. It's decent-ish in PvP, but it still doesn't handle as smoothly as god-rolled legendaries. The flavor, design, and utility of it is fantastic, but the Juju has always fallen a tad bit short for me as an exotic weapon and usually collects dust in the vault as a result.

1 ReplyThat and the zhalo supercell, are really well designed exotics, that never needed any adjustments. All bad juju's changes are general class changes, including the extra 3 rounds.
-
I use it all the time
-
I've never been good with it, but I feel like it's one of those weapons that if you give it the time and care required to learn it properly it'd be very difficult to compete with. There is a very short list of weapons that, if killed by them, I am never mad. Juju is one of those.

2 RepliesI used juju in year 2 untill it felt like a crutch to me. I sinced move on, but still have my juju in the vault for just in case.

1 ReplyEdited by HalfY: 12/7/2016 3:15:41 PMEven if its solar/arc burn I'll still be rocking my Obsidian Mind + Bad JuJu Warlock combo. Space Magic For Days! My only hope for Destiny 2 is that these two pieces of equipment come with us (and dedicated servers!!!!!!)
although its ok in PvP, there are and have always been better options imo
1 ReplyTelesto as well

1 ReplyEdited by SilverwindNarga: 12/7/2016 12:00:43 PMPvE wise yea its good. PvP not a chance especially with everyone using Clever Dragon w/ High Cal

Bad Juju has had few specific adjustments, but it has benefitted hugely from the multiple buffs to pulse rifles since the vanilla game.
-
One of the best.
-
It's one of the few weapons which are still worth using as an exotic.
-
2 RepliesNot only did it get extra ammo, but it also got its exotic perk changed so it can charge your super after each kill.
-
Bad Juju used to be a terrible gun in Vanilla. 15 rounds, and you couldn't even see down the sights. Those are all fixed now. It's now lacking decent stability if you do no build for it since some nerfs happened I believe. It only really came around after Red Death and that arch type as a whole got nerfed to uselessness. Red Death was way better than Bad Juju for a long time. Not anymore though.

1 ReplyIt used to be better, than the year two nerfs made it harder to handle. It is however, one of my favorite PvE exotics, and I will always have a soft spot for the gun as it was my very first Exotic.
-
1 ReplyIt got a massive buff, it was worthless in vanilla, couldnt even kill a goblin with a full clip.
-
It needs more stability
-
I completely disagree with your opinion. But everyone has different tastes. May you have continued success with it.
-
1 ReplyIt sucks
-
With perfect balance it is
-
When I had used, I found that unupgraded the weapon was ehhh. But the minute you unlock the final perk, the exotic one, the thing becomes godlike.
-
12 RepliesIt's sad that you bring up how it's almost untouched since yr 1. Because everything has been nerfed. And when was bad juju a quest to obtain in yr 1? quests didn't come until yr 2. Or at least that's how I remember it.

agree i forget what an asset this gun could be in pvp
