It's not seven seconds between shots. It's seven seconds to regen ammo. Just don't only use a sniper. Pull out your primary once in a while, let it recharge, and then go back to sniping.

Pve wise the best use of a sniper is boss damage. Waiting for ammo to recharge is a lost in dps

But nothing prevents you from using a sniper through the activity, which makes infinite bullets more favorable. Take as an example the Undying Mind Strike, which is full of Hydras and Minotaurs.

Killing those adds will more than likely give you more ammo unless if it's juggler then I could see ice breaker being the best option

So damage the boss, clear the adds, damage the boss, clear the adds. Most boss fights lend themselves well to this rhythm.

With this cycle I can use a better sniper with more ammo

Except for the fact that you WILL run out of ammo after 18 or so shots

Run out of ammo on special , switch to IB and continue dps on boss with hung jury or good scout , it's what I did and will continue on in year three .

And by the time I've done that you've fired like 8 shots and I'll have full reserves by time you fire yours 9th or 10th

The whole point was that this was a sniper for the people that camp. You won't be getting those full reserves if you're camping....

If you're trying to use it as a *get as many shots off as I can to do a ton of dps at one time* sniper, of course it's going to be bad. You're using it wrong. It's strength is outlasting the other snipers for people who's game plan is to stay in one spot.

What spot are you really going to stay in though. There's not really any more spots like that anymore

Possibly people don't go looking for those spots anymore because they don't have a sniper that can make use of them? I'm sure we will get something. And the Nexus strike is coming back- that one has a few.

Well if you give the gun that much ammo then it would be completely broken in both gamemodes It would be like a year three black hammer The gun shouldn't be the best sniper, it should be a niche sniper for people who play campy.
