Damn it, I hate free stuff, I especially hate getting free content that gives me more hours of enjoyment for FREE... Who do they think they are just giving me stuff, it's like they want me to give them my free time.
Well played... well played.
Edit: did not expect this to take off like this, that being said this was in good fun, obviously my post is said in sarcasm.
Fact: RoI did not mention any of this content prior to purchase, meaning you had no idea it came with it and paid for the content that was described... thus you're all getting FREE content. Logic!
Edit 2: so much glorious salt!

Edited by Unknown: 12/7/2016 3:53:11 AMOPs logic: You buy a house. After a year the bank says.. "you can no longer use the basement".. -after another year of bickering between the two sides- The bank says "you can have your basement back, and here's a bonus, well give u a scoring system for turning the lights on and off as you enter" OP - "thank you for all the free stuff" Bank - *thinking to itself* "you -blam!-ing idiot, you paid for the basement 2 years ago, and all we had to do was take it away for a year, then give it back, and now you think I did you a favor" "Man this is too easy, I control their minds" For this demonstration the Bank played Bungies role. Edit. Holy crap, the number of potatoes that take it so literally.. the moral of the story is Bungie makes activities and weapons irrelevant, then after some time, they re-release them at the current light, and everyone acts like it's new and free. Bungie gives the illusion of new stuff, by giving old stuff.. and the sheep are tripping over themselves in excitement.

Do. Not. Encourage. Them.

Free stuff is great :)

Edited by madgamer438: 12/7/2016 9:12:09 PMFree stuff? What Free stuff? Bungie doesn't give Free stuff! You Pay for everything you get! THE MONEY GRAB IS REAL!
-
Bungie hasn't given you anything for free lmao kid

All this logic of "this event isn't free because you need to own Rise of Iron" is incredibly flawed. By this type of thinking, nothing in this world can ever be free. If your local pizza place put out an add stating "free pepperoni pizza" and you got there, and on the window is a sign that reads "no shirt, no shoes, no service", would you yell at the owner because you had to buy a shirt and shoes in order to get this pizza? Yes, in order to participate in this seasonal event (which by the way, lots and lots of other game companies add free seasonal events to their games) you need to own the latest expansion. If you didn't already own this expansion, I very highly doubt that this event would cause you to want to buy it. If it did, then yes, you're right, to you it isn't free because you had to purchase something before playing it. If you did purchase Rise of Iron in order to play in this event, congratulations, you now get a ton of free bonuses such as new missions, new strikes, a new raid and tons of new gear!
-
I don't really like how it's interpreted as free, it's not really free when you've had to pay £150 or however many dollars to get that free event. Call me salty all you like but this event is only happening due to the fact we've spent endless money on content. We wouldn't be playing it otherwise.

Stupid kids
-
I know I'm so pissed I have more to do. Why did they have to bring a cool game mode and a new way to do strikes and get decent rewards.
-
Cue all the window lickers that think SRL, FOTL etc, were not free! Cost nothing = free
-
The community paid for these updates through micro transactions, they are not free. For the second year in a row, Celebrating Halloween and Sparrow Racing in a post apocalyptic sci-fi universe where humanity is in the edge of extinction just seems stupid to me.
-
I enjoy the fact that they're giving us free content. I don't enjoy the fact that it's all shit that's been in the game already.
-
Very well played. I'm glad to see some of the money I've thrown at my screen being put to good use.
-
I honestly believe that the money from the Halloween event and before/after paid for the dawning
-
People are complaining so much about this reused content but the same people are the ones asking for it. Remember "Bring back Gjallerhorn" and "Bring back SRL' and dont get me started on "Bring back Combined Arms"
-
By free stuff you mean stuff that we bought already but are just now receiving again? Last time I checked Ice Breaker was available with the vanilla game that I bought. I have a right to complain that they are just giving me back what I bought 3 years ago. It's sad that I feel lucky to have it back for free. Hell, they gave me a whole heap of content I already had for $30. (Thorn, Gjallarhorn, etc.)

Edited by PrimaryNotFound: 12/7/2016 3:57:16 AMToo many "Nothing in life is free" people in here.

Edited by Janus Geminus: 12/6/2016 10:11:12 PMWho the heck knows man! Seriously I call total BS on this kinda of behavior. Why can't we have a total DLC plan like COD or Halo 5? Paid DLC all the way, and with it micro transactions for the best gear and cosmetics! I agree what the heck is with the free stuff Bungie? What are they thinking?
Sarcasm double down on the sarcasm
Free content?

..................I think I entered the twilight zone
-
I am just curious if we will have to login every day to get the gift boxes or will they stack in the postmaster?
-
I'm just glad Festival of the Cost is over.
-
Yeah right. They have given so much and taken so little in the past, oh how each of us gamers will forever be indebted to bungie. We are not worthy!
-
Please don't like my comment because i get the notification and check my phone thinking it's something important.

I don't mind when they offer free content. It does bother me when they offer something for free and then try all kinds of ways to get money from you. Its like those people that will clean your shoe or headlights for free. They only give you half what you're expecting and want to get paid for the rest and then still try to sell you something.
