To anyone who says this guy is a looter and sees it as a problem... GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS! This is a loot based game with the game revolving around PICKING UP LOTS AND LOTS OF WEAPONS AND GEARS. If you're not playing to hunt lots and lots of gears, you're not playing grasping the concept of what a loot based shooter game is. Did the caps help figure out where you failed at?

  • Your point was lost amongst both your mentions of the word, "Gears". It's just "Gear" by the way. There is literally no point collecting everything in the game. Oh, you got Badger CCL? You also got Cryptic Dragon? Great, they're the same gun, just with different colours. DELETE ONE, AND STOP TRYING TO GET BUNGIE TO WASTE TIME ON DEVELOPING USELESS SHIT.

DELETE ONE, AND STOP TRYING TO GET BUNGIE TO WASTE TIME ON DEVELOPING USELESS SHIT.
Do you know why there are different rolls in the game? So you can get DIFFERENT variants of the gun. By getting different variants of the gun, you have VERY different guns. How can you not understand that concept? I for example have a Keystone 01 in a several variants. 1 - Extended Mag, Triple Tap, Crowd Control aka my boss slaying weapon. Kill a red bar enemy, start unloading at the boss with a damage buff and triple tap. 2 - Explosive Rounds, Outlaw, Firefly aka my crowd clearing weapon. This is among the best of clearing out hoards of thralls and what not that clumps up together. 3- Explosive Rounds, Triple Tap, Firefly aka my balanced crowd clearing boss dps weapon. 4 - Quickdraw, Perfect Balance, Hidden Hand aka my PvP roll. Now apply this to every weapon and *gear* that the game has to offer than you enjoy using.

Badger ccl and cryptic dragon are completely different archetypes. Even if they were in the same they most likely have different rolls. Even if they were the same archetype and roll some people like having one for each character, people in Y1 grinded out 3 fatebringers, 3 black hammers and 3 gallys so they'd always have them without needing to switch. Name me a single way extra vault space negetively affects you. One.

  • Those guns are two different archetypes. Cryptic Dragon and Saterienne or Tread Upon Stars would work in your example. However I agree with your point.

True as that may be, even the cosmetics of the weapons may give you a reason to keep it even if you have the same rolls. It's the same reason why we have shaders. You like a certain color scheme with certain outfits. This game is loots and cosmetics, hoarding is expected of you. If you're not hoarding, you're not playing the game as intended(you can play however way you want but it loot based game, remember that). Unfortunately some people fails to see this for w/e reasons they're living under their own little rock.

  • They loot will drop again just like you can get the shader from the kiosk. There is no limitation on drops

  • "The loot will drop again"... except when it won't, like after each expansion takes them out of the loot pool. Do you still have a Supremacy? I do. Got any of the old Painted/Primed/Sliver versions of the Crucible weapons? I've got 'em. Some of the old weapons that have perks that were taken out of their class later (like my pulse rifles with Reactive Reload)? Any of the original Vendors/Faction guns and gear that won't even come from the rank up packages? I got it. There is plenty of reasons to keep stuff, because you can't just assume "it will drop again"

  • There are so many archetypes that have been reskinned or repurposed it negates that point. You chose to keep those items. There is likely similar gear with the same or exact rolls. I maybe have a handful of weapons from y1/y2. They rarely, if never, get used. I've been playing since Beta. If you have no vault space then it shows a lack of will power.

  • Bbbbaaaaahahahahahahahaha you are the typical example of a forum idiot. "You have no willpower" for choosing to keep weapons I enjoy using... ok bubba, go get you an edumacation...

  • You do realize the idiocy in your retort? You assume what I do or don't enjoy to chose to insult rather than make a coherent thought or articulate your point. Go ahead and reply now with your educated come back. I was simply debating points. You show little train of thought.

  • You speak of coherent thought, and yet have no concept of punctuation or sentence structure. I seriously can't figure out what the hell you're even saying in that post

  •
They loot will drop again just like you can get the shader from the kiosk. There is no limitation on drops
I'd like to ask you how many times an Eyasluna for you dropped with Sureshot, Rifled Barrel, and LitC. Sure it can drop bu9t your chances of getting that? I actually have several variants of Eyaslunas. 1 - Truesight/Sureshot/Quickdraw, Rifled Barrel, and LitC 2 - Everythingis the same but the last perk is Hidden Hand 3 - Everything is the same but the last perk is Reactive Reload The chances of getting those three rolls are extremely low, I keep all 3 instead of trashing 2. They all serve their own personal needs in PvP. Roll 1 = My Rumble weapon Roll 2 = My Clash weapon Roll 3 = My Skirmish/Trials weapons Though it highly depends on the map if it allows hand cannon to be put in effective use.

  • That's asinine. May be if you were actually good at PvP and winning most your matches there would be some logic in that. But for you it's not. Its a personal choice you made to hoard crap. Its not out of necessity

When you think about it, almost nothing is out of necessity. The only thing that is, is the light levels. What's stopping you from using level 400 crap across the board? Your personal preferences of what rolls you want on your gear and weapons. I'm looking at your characters, they seem to be geared towards certain stats. Your stats aren't random, they look like they're geared towards certain stats that you favor.

  • Exactly. So why bitch about vault space as necessity. Some space was needed before because of different game elements. There's plenty now. Anything more is to compensate those who "hoard" or "collect."

Hoarding is part of the game. This is a LOOT BASED game. Ask Bungie if it is or not, I guarantee you that they will confirm it for you. Ask if Bungie made the game with the intent of you killing a lot of stuff and collecting lots of rewards, the answer I will give you is a yes they intended the game for that. Again, go ask Bungie for yourself, they'll give you the same reply. No seriously, go ask them. I'm not saying this just to say it, I sincerely hope you'll go ask them directly so that you can get the same answer there after getting it from here. So far you've only spoken from your opinion of the matter, not the fact at hand. It is a loot based game, drill that concept into your mind until you understand what that means. I'd like to note that you can play the game however you want but this game was originally built on the fact that collecting tons of weapons and gear was the main point of the game, that's why this game has SO many different roll options.

  • Is there a limit on loot drops? No I never said it wasn't a loot based game. Its your short sightedness that can't get passed that point either. You're perpetuating a necessity to collect or hoard when there is not. The loot is endless and ever changing.

What you say is true, there is no end to drops(well there is but the number is HUGE). However increasing vault space is not unreasonable to ask for at this current point of time. They said that last gen was the reason why vault space cannot be increased much further, now that they dropped last gen, it is a perfectly reasonable time to ask for a vault space increase. Considering how it's Bungie's own word that last gen held them back from increasing the vault space much at all, would you not agree that now that we dropped it, it's a perfect time to ask for it? Mind you a new expansion just released as well meaning a ton more of gear and weapons exist along sides the ones that already exist. Again, would you not agree that right now when last gen was dropped and a whole new supply of gear and weapons now exists, this would be the perfect time to ask for a vault space increased as opposed to asking it out of nowhere without reasons to back it up? The necessity to collect and hoard is there. Just as you have your opinion of it not being there and believing that you are correct, there are others with the exact opposite opinion. You having an opinion does not make your opinion more correct than another person's opinion. If you believe that your opinion is the only correct one that can exist, that would just make you a bigot wouldn't it? You are free to not hoard stuff, I am not forcing that onto you. However having more vault space won't hurt you. Some may argue that if they took the time to create more vault space, it'll take time away from creating more content. I will have to disagree with that in my own manner of ways. More vault space is more content for many people in this game and as with all content, some contents are better suited for some than others. What may not be the best content for you may be a god send to another.
