COD Ghosts is underrated
So I'm not a CoD fanboy. I haven't purchased one since MW3. But have managed to play each one to date one way or another. Including the new IW/MWR. And a few weeks ago I made a post about getting Ghosts. And after playing a fair amount of it I've come to a conclusion.
It's my 3rd favorite CoD. BO2 is my favorite. I thought the campaign and multiplayer were so excellent. The zombies was eh compared to BO1 but oh well. Followed by CoD4 which was just for being so innovative.
Ghosts has a solid campaign and Extinction is very underrated. Great co op mode. Squads is really cool too. And the multiplayer is one of the most balanced and fun I've played outside of the stupid IEDs. And I like the mode variety. The maps are iffy. On one hand I love having all the space in them. On another I admit some just are toooooo big. But I rather enjoy it as a whole. Much better than the monstrosities of MW2 or MW3 for sure.

I've never played it, but I have a friend that loves it. I'll download one of these days if it goes on sale.

Cod ghost should be remade or have a sequel because i liked it alot and the competitive mode where you could earn exclusive customisations for your character was great imo but everyone is different.

Compared to what came after it I can say it isn't as bad compared to the codes that came after it. At least ghost didn't have all this futuristic crap.

Better than Bo3 and Advanced Warfare in my opinions. The knifing in Ghosts was satisfying cause I would troll in Gun Game and demote players by knifing them

The first call of duty I ever preorderd was bo1. The first I played was mw2 and I loved it. And I continued to preorder ever CoD after and ghosts was the last one I did. I couldn't enjoy it no matter how much I tried. Then I stopped playing CoD until I played the bo3 beta and I actually enjoyed this it so I got it. After playing destiny everyday for a year it was a refresher. I got to master prestige almost level 200 then started getting bored. Then I got back to playing destiny everyday again

I enjoyed ghosts a lot. Except everyone playing it now just camps so it's not fun anymore.

Ghosts is definitely one of the better CoDs. The big maps actually made snipers good for something besides quickscoping (which was a lot easier in Ghosts if i 'member correctly). [spoiler]but i will have to disagree with ya on 1 thing... MW3 was great[/spoiler]

The campaign was pretty solid but the multiplayer was total garbage.

I had played Modern Warfare briefly ( I rented it ). I owned Modern Warfare 2. I owned Black Ops. I owned Black Ops 2. I thought the first was great and the other two were okay. I bought Ghosts because I had bought a brand new PS4 that year and I wanted a game that decent quality that could justify my next gen purpose and it was slim pickings amongst all the launch titles ( I went with AC: Black Flag, COD: Ghosts and got a PS4/Kiilzone bundle ). Ghosts was the first time I played through a COD from start to finish and walked away feeling like I enjoyed my time with the game and that I got my money's worth from it. Since then I've played Advanced Warfare and while I feel that AW is a better game than Ghosts, it's also a more gimmicky game and doesn't hold up as well once the novelty of the exo suits wears off. In many ways Ghosts was the last 'pure' COD title in that there were no fancy gimmicks shoehorned into the tried and tested COD formula.

1 ReplyI had over 300 Extinction completion on all 4 maps most of them solo because the ransoms would mess up the challenges or open up all the boxes so I couldn't get the Ark for my weapon I had max prestige twice with probably like 20 days played with a 2.1 Kd It was the goat Cod because of the lanes you could rush really hurt the campers Plus the had the greatest hit detection ever

I agree too. Extinction Mode was my personal favorite, but hey. Not everyone has similar tastes.

2 RepliesThe campaign started great, I liked the first few levels. The missions were each a lot of fun, in the explosive-actiony way that CoD does well. The story was awful. The only way I'll play Ghosts 2 is if the bad guy successfully repurposes the protagonist and it's all about you and him hunting down the other Halloween-masked dipshits. And their damn dogs. I have no opinion on the multiplayer, never liked any of it that much. It was well nigh impossible to use weapons I liked (LMGs, semi-automatics, handguns, launchers) although for whatever reason it was also the only CoD in which I enjoyed the sniping mechanics.
