Did Oryx birth Crota?
If Crota is Oryxs son then who birthed Crota?

No. It was Kim Kardashian - Oryx is the father (we think...).

2 RepliesOryx started out like every other hive, A worm. He (she at the time) was a thrall, an acolyte, and then into a wizard. She then when on the conquering war path, and grew in power. It could have been then. Any who, She became so powerful that she took on a worm god, and won (Taken powers) and I guess somewhere down the road she changed form. I am HIGHLY skeptic that Eris birthed him, not because of all of the lore going against that, but because of one HUGE detail: Crota IS TOO BIG.

Hive don't "birth". They spawn. As for how that is accomplished I cannot say.

10 RepliesOryx found a Hive Mother to birth his spawn, but the Mother he chose is not named. Read the Books of Sorrow if you want solid evidence We do know that Omnigul is the Wizard/Mother that Crota chose to have his spawn though Crota+Omnigul, may they live happily together in the afterlife

According to the Book of Sorrow, Crota was born from the consummation of Oryx and an unnamed Hive Mother. Basically oryx had shemale to female action with some wizard.
