Does Bungie IP Ban?

I mean on the website, not Xbox Live. Reasons to IP ban: -DDOS attacks -Virus intrusions -Harassment (of whatever sort) I have no real reason to ask except out of curiousity. Being such a popular site, I was just wondering how Bungie maintains such a smooth running operation.

 •
Posted by: Wildcard1992
Posted by: CB Visco They dont IP ban usually, but if you have two accounts from one IP and one of them gets banned, and the other account is still active from the same IP, then that gets banned too
Happened to me once.
Your IP ban was probably only a Wildcard...
I was permabanned, and no accounts they may or may not of been made after the ban worked. It was only after I kissed ass a lot (For 4 months) that I was let off.. But yes,, I think I was IP banned. (;

 •
Posted by: walshypru
Posted by: spawn031 Yes they do. Achronos said it prevents banned people to create new accouts to avoid ban.
This. I'm pretty sure there have been threads were there were (allegedly) two b.net users in the same house, and when one of them was banned, the other one was too. The innocent guy was a bit confused... Or lying after trying to sign on to an alt to avoid the ban =)
That's not an IP ban, it's something involving a computer-by-computer basis. Normal bans are not IP bans.

 • IP bans don't happen unless your server loads Bungie.net pages too often or for some other reason that Achronos manually IP bans. All other bans are account-based.
