because people just use it as an excuse for playing poorly. if you really cared about your performance you would use the meta and try to play well, but theres no reason to use bad guns/play poorly and get pissed about it and call the other team tryhards. you got outplayed. put aside the meaningless excuses and take the L.

I believe you are dead wrong. Now I am not blaming players "tryhards" I am blaming a F'ing broken philosophy of bungie that of the rolling meta. Why in the hell should we never be able to settle on a type of weapon we like to use and be on somewhat level ground? Why can you say bad guns? In a game like this are we to believe bungie doesn't know at all how to balance weapons? Hell no they have zero intention of balancing weapons. They want the game to constantly have this everybody now walk left mind set. Look at the new maps. They are damn shotgun paradise. Have you tried to play control on Marvin's F'ing gardens? The zones are in bowls now there is a great design. For those of us though who don't like the meta though there is a great way out. EQUIP that broken ass weapon. Ride it like a pony. If we all each and every one of us just go equip those God Roll fast fire rate pules rifles that we all have at least two of but were trying not to use. YES equip them. Never take them out of the slot. In doing this it will finally rotate us to the next meta and then cross your fingers that it will be your weapon's day in the sun. If not well you know wash rinse and repeat.

Well when I'm trying to Titan fly in mayhem and there's a guy with clever dragon hitting me from sniper distance I'll can him a tryhard or I'm trying to play casually not giving a duck and a man runs at me with a shotty proceeds to shadestep bones left then right and shotguns me, I will accuse them of being a tryhard, sure I got outplayed but is it really necessary to sweat or tryhard in the first place this game is dying because of bungie why try?

Me too but for very different reasons. A truely competitive player would never use said impressions, for the simple reason it's the standard. For Destiny specifically they should never be used, because this game doesnt have the platform needed for anything to be competitive.

3 RepliesMy kd is crap. ~1.2 and I was called sweaty the other day. I loled.
-
I use sweaty. If I see a team with really good stats Ill inform my team we are facing a sweaty team. Just slang for good players
-
I feel bad for people who use "cringe" way too much.
The luckiest seven you will ever meet
2 RepliesI wince at how much the word "cringe" is used on these forums

1 ReplyI feel embarrassed for people who overuse the word cringe.
-
I just think people using those words are retards.

1 ReplyI don't like the term "tryhard". I'm sure it's a term coined by the millennials and it implies that trying hard at something is bad. I'm alright with "sweaty" though. "This match is sweaty" just means that both teams are going for the win. I don't see it as an insult or an excuse. It's just a gaming adjective.

Edited by Janitor of the Witness: 11/26/2016 10:40:24 AMI dont use either of those terms. I suck at PvP but I play because it's fun. The only 'meta' I ever followed was when everyone was using MIDA, aside from that I use whatever I feel comfortable with

7 RepliesDo you know how much of a no life you sound like right now? I think you need to go outside.

I only start calling them that stuff when they down us in like 6 seconds and are jumping in unison like dolphins to get the special. I'm sure it looks like that when I do it too. Lol. Just looks dumb as shit and makes me question why I sometimes put so much effort into a video game.
-
I never understood those insults, I suck at PVP but are other people not supposed to try to win?

You had me at meta.
😂Holy shit, really?
