Back with some more tips. Instead of creating a new thread I decided to edit this one. Will continue to add tips as I find them. here we go:
~grappling hook will always go for a melee kill on someone even if you never hook them. all someone has to do is pass in front of you at any point on the hook line.
~pilots can phase shift into other pilots for a kill. If you do this as ronin to an enemy titan you unfortunately die. HOWEVER if you are being rodeoed and you phase shift into a friendly titan you and your friendly titan are 100% fine but the enemy pilot gets killed.
~Gravity star is your friend. It will trap a pilot who's in the middle of nuke ejecting. he won't usually die from his own explosion but he will be an easy target. You can also use this to pull pesky A wall campers through their own shield if you hit the front of their a wall with it.
~Ronin is the only titan who can use a defensive measure against a nuke eject and survive with non doomed state. His sword block is literally that good.
~flying north stars can't be crushed by a titanfall.
~tone's weapon has splash damage.
~when legion has his smart core on his power shot tracks too. Another nifty thing about his smart core is that it gives not only unlimited ammo but also instantly fills your clip after it runs out. The best method of putting out the most bullets would be to fire your gun till it's almost dry THEN pop smart core and keep firing even after it ends.
~Legion can't melee when his shield is up. But can still be melee executed. use this to your advantage.
~in game stats for weapons are completely 100% bull. Don't use them at all.
~North star has a tiny almost unnoticable audio que when her trap tethers someone.
~speaking of tether. Ronin can actually phase dash to escape after being tethered. the bastard.
~ronins arc wave attacks are significantly stronger when in sword core. sword core activation also instantly refills his dashes. The best way to chase down a titan for a quick kill when using sword core is to dash in and land one or 2 melee's. after the enemy has dashed away follow up with an arc wave and then a melee. this should reduce the likely hood of the pilot ejecting.
~Ion can actually dash once before his core is completely firing. use this to chase down someone who might be trying to run around a corner.
~crouching in your own smoke screen makes it virtually impossible for the rodeo guy to live due to the trajectory change when trying to hop off.
~ronins arc wave sometimes straight up disables tone's particle wall.
~always fire your salvo core straight up into the sky as tone. The rockets follow your aimer. this will get you around cover and damage whoever you want 90% of the time.
~As a pilot stim ejecting is a very useful tactic to get out of a potential gooser shot.
~A fun way to counter a tone with legion is to dash through his partical wall and use the close range powershot. then unload into his face. a similar tactic can be employed against a ronin since the knockback on the close range power shot puts you usually out of melee range.
~Scorches primary fire can also bounce just like his canister. use this to set fire to tones behind their walls.
~if you are hit in the front of ion with a flame star you can use vortex shield to pull it off.
~smart pistol is currently the only thing in the game capable of destroying an A wall.
~Only bringing this up because it's spreading misinformation. You can't shoot through an A wall. amped weapon or not. if it happens it is 100% a connectivity thing.
~if you phase dash as ronin at the right time while someone rodeos you they end up being forced to stay on you and you lose no damage once they finally hop off.
~ronin's block is better when in sword core. reduces the damage taken from most sources by half.
~if a ronin is going to phase nuke you you can see the core light even while they are phased. use this to get out of the way.

Create your own Network with a Happy Hour time that suits you. I work night shift and regularly play between 8:30am and 10:30am GMT on weekdays so I created my own network with a 9am-10am Happy Hour so I can collect the extra 5 merits every day.

Early on constantly swap your weapons and titan. You get merits each time you level up something it is easier to level up low level stuff than high level up stuff.

3 RepliesLearn to do this ^
~grappling hook will always go for a melee kill on someone even if you never hook them. all someone has to do is pass in front of you at any point on the hook line.
I've been victim of that. Ran out a door just as the enemy was flying into the doorway. Was mad :\
~Ronin is the only titan who can use a defensive measure against a nuke eject and survive with non doomed state. His sword block is literally that good.
While it won't defend you from a nuclear explosion, Scorch can kill an ejecting pilot by pointing his flame shield upwards a bit while burning an enemy titan to death. If you have cover by you it will kill the ejecting pilot & still leave you with enough time to boost away behind cover.

8 RepliesEdited by B00ZE CLUEZ: 11/25/2016 11:42:22 PMSo.....it sounds like Ronin is slightly op. Edit: also, If gravity star holds a pilot when they are ejecting, how the hell do they survive their nuke? You can be 15 feet away and a nuke still kills you. Back on the note of ronin. His sword is supposed to block projectiles. A nuclear blast is not a -blam!-in projectile.

2 Replies>Grappling right as you eject is also a great way to trick enemies. >Grapple only to gain the momentum/angle you want then let go. (Can get 4 ish grapples out of it) >Northstar can "double jump" by using a flight ability then another as it starts its fall. The new "floor" becomes wherever you press the second flight skill. I do this all the time to stand on top of the escape vessel on that map where they showcased a pilot getting on a flying northstars back in the trailers. >phase embark may seem dumb but it almost halves time if you are getting out and back in for a battery. A must if you want your titan to last a whole match. >you can get multiple batteries out of the bounty hunt titans. Each new person that gets on gets a battery. (Its been a while since ive played but im pretty sure) >viper thrusters are a northstar must. Oh, and northstar is the best ronin/legion counter ;)

2 RepliesHas anyone ever killed another pilot with phase shift? Ive gotten kills by getting behind them, but I've never managed to actually end phase shift while inside a pilot

1 ReplyAlso, when grappling, if you hold to the side(say you grapple the right hand corner of a building, and you hold to the right with the left stick) you build more momentum and are launched further past the building. That's how I get around the map.
