The Viking Funeral dmg buff change was very welcoming and I for one thoroughly enjoy it.
However, can Touch of Flame please apply the burn for at least 5 seconds, maybe even 7 at the absolute most. (But I'd prefer 5 seconds to bring it in line)
Why 5 seconds?
As sunsingers, we need to physically use a perk (Touch of Flame) in order for any of our abilities to set people on fire. The Hunter and Titan incendiary grenade will burn you for 5 seconds worth of dmg and will usually kill you even if the grenade is a reasonable distance away. (armor pending)
Same with their melee, fire throwing knife not so much but the Titans (sunbreaker) fist can burn you out with a single punch since the burn tics you for 5 seconds.
Now why does the Hunter and Titan solar abilities burn you for longer than Touch of Flame when neither subclass (excluding Melting Point on Titan) has a perk that sets people on fire?
Touch of Flame was hit when you took off the "enemies burn longer" side of Viking Funeral. That is why I feel a slight boost to the burn timer would be nice.
[b]Song of Flame glitch[/b]
I've noticed this a lot since the April Update.
Radiance increases the recharge rate of all abilities while it is active, however,
Say one sunsinger with Song of Flame pops radiance and gives the buff to another sunsinger, once the second sunsinger activates radiance when the song of flame buff is almost over (1st warlock almost finishes radiance)
(Glitch will trigger just about every time if the 2nd sunsinger activates radiance when the 1st song of flame radiant warlock has his super bar drain until it is just over the ability icons.)
Once the "stat buff" notification leaves the screen the 2nd Sunsingers grenades and melee will not recharge as fast as they should. It seems the Radiance ability recharge buff is taken off and your abilities recharge at normal speed, perhapes slightly slower too. So you'll have a super, but can't use any of the benefits from it.
Me and a friend can replicate this glitch every single time we test it. It may not be a big deal, just time radiance swapping better, but it is a glitch nonetheless and I just wanted everyone to know it.

4 RepliesI'm not sure what you're asking for on the DoT issue. You say you approve of the Viking Funeral nerf, but then you want them to undo it? Five seconds of burn puts the burn damage almost back to where it was. Seven makes it even more potent than before. I feel I need to offer a couple of corrections as well, because you have numerous inaccuracies in your argument here. 1) Touch of Flame is not necessary for [i]all[/i] your abilities to ignite enemies. Only grenades. 2) Incendiary grenade burns for three seconds and 35 damage, the same as the burn applied by Touch of Flame. To get the grenade kill you need to deal nearly the full potential damage from the detonation, requiring the target to be practically right on top of the grenade. 3) The total damage dealt by the Sunbreaker melee ability is 174. It cannot single-handedly "burn out" a player at any armor level. As well, the burn is the primary effect of the ability, even to the point that the base attack power of the melee override is [i]less[/i] than the uncharged melee attack. (Honestly, I wish they'd do away with that last bit.) As a parting thought, it might be a better approach to separate the buff requests from the bug report. The former is likely to be a source of contention, which could distract from the glitch report. In fact, I'm not even sure those two things should be in the same sub-forum.
