I work just as hard to get kills at a 2 KD player. All of my games are super sweaty.
In gun battles against a fellow .86 KD player their bullets miss so do mine, but the desire to win the gun battle and not die are the same. Skilled players have better reaction time, good movement skills, and better spacial awareness. But against fellow skilled players they are even. Both work hard to win.
I don't understand what the CBMM community thinks is going on in the easier brackets? We are not sitting around deciding gun fights with a tough game of rock paper scissors. We are shooting, jumping, and dying. We just are not as good. SBMM allows us to fight and get better. When the opposing team makes mistakes we can see them and learn how to gain the advantage. When playing with highly skilled players we just die to quickly. There is no opportunity to learn. Without some success you cannot learn.
Lately I learned that I suck at pulse rifles. Totally suck. Pvp is too quick for hand cannons. I can't track or lead my opponent. I do well with shotguns (big surprise) and auto rifles. If I am holding back i do well with a scout rifle. I am getting better at grenade placement. Using vertical movement to confuse players radar around corners. But I didn't learn any of this until SBMM was implemented.

3 RepliesI like smm in the context of ranked Playlists but not in normal crucible. I can't play with most of my friends without them having an awful time.

I'm .7 on a good day lol. If we ever lose SBMM I'll never set foot in crucible again.

2 RepliesThe issue is that you are being matched against someone on another continent so the skill is the same but because they lag you can't kill them So you lose not to skill but glitches and that gets frustrating
