Major flaw in Pokémon sun and moon right off the bat.
Every Pokémon game has this problem, but it's ridiculous in the new Pokémon game.
Every game takes a while to get going, and for the most part it's understandable. New players are coming from every generation, and I understand that they need to be shown how to play the game. And that's fine.
But sun and moon has taken it way too far. There is way too many cut scenes that take far too long, and the people you meet at the beginning of the game stick by your side for way too long.
I'm at least an hour and a half into the game, and they're still holding my hand. If the rest of the game is this way, then it's going to be a major let down.
I've hardly been able to go off and explore on my own, instead the game is forcing me to do this and that and it goes on for far too long.
What are other people's experience with the game so far?

Bought the game yesterday, thought everyone was over exaggerating the hand holding. I was so damn wrong it's not even funny. Only problem I had, enjoying the game quite a bit. Thanksgiving (as of this post) so I haven't gotten much further than just the option to go to the 2nd island.

You can't save the entire time, so save before you battle the champion. After that you have to watch 2 more and the credits. My 3ds ejected my game mid credits, I was not happy

3 RepliesBest Pokemon to date. After the first island everything takes off. The characters are all memorable, and the villain is as well. There is actual character development. That is the thing I've always hated about Pokemon games, at some random moment your rival shows up, fights you, and walks away. Nothing else. Each main character in this game is significant, and you come to care for them. The new trial system is a lot better as well. It's more interesting than just walking into a gym and fighting a few guys.

I was working with a friend of mine, restarting to get all the starters, and after I managed to get the two he needed, I said screw it just send me eggs. I had almost lost any interest in playing after that.

The game really picks up after the first island. This is easily the most fun I've had playing pokemon in a very long time. Been using some new mons and I like them alot more than I thought I would. And the best part of the game.... NO HM'S!!!!!!

4 RepliesThat's annoying. I haven't gotten the game yet because I'm waiting on reviews and such, but I really don't like the hand holding of the newer generation. I loved gen 1 and 2 where you actually had to search for shit like finding surf (I think it was surf) in the safari zone
