The Hunter that greeted Hyperion was dressed in dark red colors and black as a base color on his armor. His cloak was long and was torn apart from where it had drug across the many planets he had obviously been on. It was tattered and dirty, but the large chevron pattern near the top remained untouched. He very obviously took pride in his cloak, from the beautiful patterns to the very dust and mud that tore up the bottom of his cloak. "King Hyperion, Eos told the Vanguard about your little issue here. A raid team of guardians have been deployed, with good reason. That thing..." "It's Hive," Hyperion interrupts, "But it's more than just a simple Knight. That thing, it's a God." The Hunter looks back at the retreating "God" as Hyperion had called it. It wasn't retreating. The Hunter knew better. He knew Hive and Cabal never retreated. That's what got the Hive wiped out, and the Cabal driven out of the system, all because of that one Guardian. "Get your little team together and follow my lead." "Yes sir." The Hunter runs to his ship and gets on his comms. He tells the others that it's okay to land. As he leaves his ship, 5 more land next to it. The Hunter watches from his ship. Hyperion stands watching, his arms crossed. "What are we looking at, King Hyperion?" A warlock hops out of one of the ships. "Turn around and you'll see for yourself" The warlock turns, confused, when he sees the giant creature that attacked Hyperion he turns away quickly. He seems frightened. "I thought they were all dead!" "Does nobody brief you Vanguard idiots?" The King shakes his head "Didn't Eos tell the Vanguard it was a Hive attack?" "Did you tell Eos it was a Hive attack?" A titan jumps out of his ship, "Because if he told the Vanguard, they didn't tell us" "That's what I'm saying. The Vanguard is doing the right thing, but they don't tell you a damn thing that's going on. So let's try this. Newsflash! There's a giant damn Hive God attacking this Kingdom and I called you guys because I'm afraid it could take my pride and joy." "You? Afraid?" Said the Hunter "Yeah. Hey, offtopic I know, where are the other 3? There's 6 ships, but I only see 3 guardians" "That's a good question, actually" Hyperion opens one of the ships and the body of a Warlock falls out "Well I can guess what happened to the other two then" He jumps down and looks at the Titan, Hunter, And Warlock that remain "If you're too afraid to fight you can leave. While you can anyway." "No, we will fight for you until our last breath. Your kingdom is powerful. The Vanguard loves having you as an ally. They see it as humans expanding again. Taking Earth back, if you will" The Hunter made a valid point in Hyperion's mind. The Vanguard are helping because he is powerful. He scares the Eliksni away. His army was there when the Hive were Extinguished. Hyperion himself was there. "Then grab a gun and fight" The Hunter draws a scout rifle and jumps his way to the roof of a rotting apartment. The Warlock moves towards the wall, drawing a pulse rifle. Hyperion can see a fusion rifle on his back. The Titan stands by Hyperion and has had an auto rifle out the whole time. He has a shotgun on his back. "You're not going with your team?" Hyperion asked "No, my job is to protect you" "I can protect myself thank you" "I'm fully aware that you can handle yourself. You scare the hell out of me sometimes, but if you do make a single mistake, and you die, it's game over for you" "That's the Vanguard's fault" "It doesn't matter right now. Just think of me as a crutch. Even more protection. More badassery" "You're even more full of yourself than that Hunter is aren't you?" The titan laughs and Hyperion laughs too. But their laughter is cut short as the Hive creature roars and reaches his hand out. A Fallen Captain is lifted into the air and his eyes are turned green. He's dropped to the ground and starts twirling his Shock Swords as if he had mastered them over years of experience with them. Hyperion wondered how many Guardians have been on the wrong end of those blades. "What's it doing?" The Warlock's voice was heard over the comms "It's controlling the minds of the Fallen. They aren't taken, their will is still their own. Think of it as the Fallen got really drunk and will do whatever the Hive say" "That's one hell of an analogy Hyperion" "Get ready for a fight, Warlock " The Hive creature brings more fallen out of hiding and uses their mind against them. Waves of Fallen are now sprinting at the hole in the Kingdom's walls. They're swarming it The warlock sees them and throws a Nova bomb at the hole, wiping out a lot of them and leaving a vortex for any daring enough to go through it. "Nice job warlock. You Vanguard aren't as bad as I thought." "You a voidwalker?" "I'm not anything anymore. I can't use my light too much anymore. My ghost is dead. I refuse to use my light anymore. Not as a weapon" Hyperion sees a Vandal running towards him. The Vandal swings two arms but Hyperion dodges them, he swings his right arm in retaliation but the Vandal blocks it and grabs it with his bottom left arm. He swings his left arm now and hits the Vandal in the face, stunning him, and then hits him in the arm that's holding his. The Vandal let's go and goes for another strike. Hyperion dodges it again and hits the Vandal in the chest. The Vandal coughs Ether out of his mask. Hyperion had the idea right then. The Vandal swings again at Hyperion and he hits the Vandal in the chest twice. The Vandal gets 3 hits on Hyperion before he punches the Vandal's mask hard enough so it cracks. Ether seeps out and the Vandal chokes on the Nitrogen and Oxygen in Earth's atmosphere. "You could have beat him, Hyperion" the Titan dives to cover and Hyperion joins him, knowing shots will be coming his way eventually "You try fighting a 4 armed alien with no weapons and see how you fare. I had to do that." "Seemed a little brutal" "You're a titan." Hyperion takes his hand cannon out of his holster and looks at it. [i]This Kingdom Breathes[/i] is etched on one side. He draws it up and fires 3 shots into 3 Dregs. The gun was loud and it echoed throughout once again. The recoil made his arm fly back with each shot "That's one hell of a gun you got there" the Hunter was over the comms "Thanks. But don't ever try to touch it. It'll be the last thing you do" "Right" He sounded nervous now. Hyperion looked over the large piece of worn concrete and into the battle and felt overwhelming sadness. Why his kingdom? Why here of all places in the System? The Reef, the Tower, hell even King's Watch could have been attacked. But they chose his tiny little Kingdom. His small, insignificant dot on the planet. "I'm moving up" He stands up quick and rushes to the ships. He gets in one that was occupied by a Titan's body and starts to take off, but the Hive Creature spots him and swings at it, like a human swatting at a bug "Dammit! Hunter on the roof! I need some help!" "What the hell are you doing in Lucas' ship?!" "You'll see if I don't die! Help me!" The Hunter takes his sidearm and puts one bullet into the hive creature. It looks at the Hunter. "Dammit, what am I getting myself into?" The Creature sprints to the Hunter and jumps at the building. It gets ripped to shreds as the Hunter runs along the rooftops and jumps off eventually, narrowly dodging a heavy attack from the God that chased him down. He lands on the wall and looks at the ship Hyperion is occupying. It flies high into the sky and comes crashing back down. A Captain and Hyperion are falling together, hitting each other. The captain had latched on when he flew over the wall. He threw Hyperion out and Hyperion grabbed the captain at the last second before being too far to grab him. The ship was heading straight for the hive creature. The Hunter saw this opportunity and unsheathed his Arc Blade, he jumped into the air and at blindingly fast speeds, struck the creature, keeping it distracted just long enough... Then he jumped away, using the Hive's face as a way to kick off and get some extra momentum. As soon as he sheathed his blade, the ship came crashing down and exploded on the Creature Hyperion and the captain landed, Hyperion on top of the captain. He drew his gun and put it to the captains head and pulled the trigger. The Hunter looked at Hyperion and he looked at where the Hive God used to be. There was just smoke. He looked at the Hunter and the Hunter smiled. They started to walk off of the wall when the hand of that abomination smashed into it right next to them Hyperion held his gun high and the Hunter grabbed the handle of his knife, ready to take it out. The creature started to say something.. to Hyperion's surprise, it was in english "YOOOUUU AARRREE NOOTTT NEEEEDED" The monster stood up and threw the Hunter to the side and into a horde of mindless dregs.
