So, Twilight Garrison needs a buff. There is pretty much no reason to use a Titan over a Nightstalker, as shadestep outclasses Twilight in every way. Shadestep doesn't require an exotic slot, it doesn't have to be in the air, it breaks the tracking on skips and axions, and breaks arcbolts and firebolts.
The way I think Twilight can be buffed is: give back the 2 charges, let it break tracking on skips and axions, and make the dodge a bit faster (maybe 0.5-1.0% faster).
Also, Shinobu's Vow, whoever decided to add that exotic had to be drunk. Skip grenades are already op enough, they track for 8 (I think) seconds, and do 3 quarters of your health. Shinobu's Vow adds more skips to the grenade (which gives it more damage), better tracking (the tracking was already stupid enough), and gives you an extra grenade charge. I think these gauntlets should be changed to help arcbolt grenades, as I rarely see those in the crucible (and that's usually warlocks using them). How to change these to boost arcbolts? Easy, extra arcbolt charge, bit more damage (not what it was in y1) and a little bit more range. I believe this would increase the amount of arcbolts used, and bring them out of the "they suck" stigma.
I know this game is far from balanced, and that you guys are probably trying your hardest to make it the best experience for us, but the fact that a hunter can either just shadestep out of almost anything, or shoot me once and throw a skip, ruins the crucible for me.
PS: before anyone says I'm just a salty Titan, I have been a hunter main since I started Destiny on PS4
Edit: lots of people have mentioned Titan skating as a reason to not buff Twilight Garrison, and I see their point. Titan skating is not very difficult, and it can have speed similar to a sparrow, it needs a change.
Another thing I saw was a complaint about how easy it is for someone to get away thanks to the double dodge. How to fix? Increase the cooldown when you run out of charges
Titans are not a perfectly balanced class, all 3 subclasses have op, and weak things, but this is not a post about those things. This post is about Twilight Garrison compared to Shadestep, and Shinobu's Vow
(Give us shader compatability!!)

There is pretty much no reason to use a Titan over a Nightstalker
BRB double charges on fusion grenades.. BRB overshield for a hit, not a kill. BRB quicker charge rates Lets just give all the benefits to being a hunter to other classes as Bungie has already started doing it.

3 RepliesI mean why don't just like you know
Make destiny back to y1 🤔
3 RepliesOk. So where do I begin this idea isn't the greatest. Twilight Garrison is, in my opinion, better than shadestep. So you can't dodge skips or axion grenades but it doesn't take away from how good this exodic is. Shadestep can only be use on a Nightstalker and Twilight Garrison can be used on any Titan subclass. I would kill to have shadestep on my bladedancer or gunslinger. Also Twilight Garrison takes a titan much further faster that shadestep can take a hunter. So Twilight Garrison does not require a buff it's perfect where it is.

1 ReplyAnyone else just get Ebola from this post?
-
28 RepliesSo you want more mobility for the tankiest class in the game? How about this... we'll consider your Garrison buffs when there are options for hunters to achieve titan levels of durability. Fair?
-
3 RepliesTitans are better in general. Dont really need TG. Shadestep is unarguable better but it is situational too, and nightstalker doesnt have the best superin the world either
-
1 ReplyBe happy you have that what's a warlock got for evade. Nothing just a shot gun distance melee everyone wants nerfed
-
5 RepliesEdited by Rambam10: 11/16/2016 10:38:20 PMI agree with the statement that twilight should be buffed. This post seems 100% biased though. You should have stayed on topic about twilight, no reason to trash hunters asking for all kinds of nerfs. Shinobu's vow has nothing to do with shadestep or twilight.

1 ReplyThe only issue I have with Twilight Garrison is that it doesn't change colour with shaders, other than that it is fine.

5 RepliesI would love a Twilight buff but I'm going to bring up points and you need to either: a) Prove those points invalid or b) Accept the points I made After that your perspective on Twilight buff will change (hopefully) 1. Shadestep is subclass exclusive, meaning only Nightstalkers can use it. Twilight can be used on all Titan subclasses. 2. Twilight does break axion bolt tracking. Not as easily but still can. 3. Twilight with 2 evades in a row would incentivise a buff to Shadestep as well. Bungie made these to be equal, as one. If 1 thing happens to one, the other one gets it. 4. Shadestep can be used on the ground. A lot more accessible but as of me writing this, Titan skating is still a thing. A Titan can use it to evade and then go from a standstill to fast Titan skating speeds. Now, I'm no one-sided twat so here are points to buff Twilight. 1. It's an exotic. Hunters just level up and they get Shadestep. Titans have to work harder for a not-as-great shadestep in some regards. 2. Twilight's push range is a little worse than Shadestep according to my test in private match a week ago. 3. Twilight evade is a lot easier to hit than a shadestepping Hunter. Twilight evade doesn't turn you purple and invisible. Twilight just changes your player model but visibility is the same while evading. 4. Twilight sacrifices better exotics such as Armamentarium. Shadestep Hunter can run any exotic while running shadestep. Well. There you go. I argued both sides.

Agreed

Stop making it look like a turducken life vest and I will be happy. Movement exotics are my favorite and I want to use it, but it makes my guardian look stupid :3

11 RepliesEdited by Chōgekiha: 11/15/2016 5:44:40 PMThen explain your change to lucky raspberry as it is the arcbolt exotic or have you forgot. It already grants 2 arcbolt nades. The change to shinobu would even more cement the idea that lucky raspberry is dead. (Funny considering it's flavor text)

Edited by cuzzybubba1: 11/16/2016 4:16:32 AMActually, all Shinobus Vow does is return skip nades to their basic form before getting nerf (and an extra charge) Bungie literally nerf them just to introduce this exotic. Each skip does 122 ish like one pulse of a lightning nade. Without Shinobu skips are decent but only do 90ish if they can catch you because they are slow. I play Striker and Blade Dancer just for reference. In regard to Garrison, I feel it's fine as is between that and Shadestep the evading had got quite ridiculous. It sucks an exotic has to be used but it's still #1 in my opinion.
-
Considering how twilights exotic perk is just a armour perk (for slow, heavily armoured Titans) and shadestep is a subclass perk (for agile, weak hunters), I'm going to have to disagree with you. Besides shadestep has already been nerfed. You could try combining it with catapult and shouldercharge for a slightly faster titan...
-
Maybe they could change the shade step then, make it that using it can't break tracking on grenades and stop that little invincibility frame that it seems people get from it
-
4 Repliesso....make the twilight garrison broken? thats all im hearing. No reason to use Titan over Nightstalker? besides the better super, nades, melee and mobility (striker subclass mainly fits here) Twilight is fine. stop lookig for Get-out-of-jail-free cards
-
6 RepliesHow about warlocks not having any bonus mobility really??
-
2 RepliesIt's fine, make it change color though.
-
8 RepliesWe are going to need you to delete this post. You asked for Hunters to be nerfed on two different classes and then asked to have Titan nerfed again. Are you serious?
-
12 Replieswow in every way that is big, do you know how fast titans are?
-
5 RepliesSee, now someone at bungie is gna see this and be like "horrie sheeeit! Shadestep stops tracking on axions and skips? We need to stop that!" And now shadestep is going to be shit too... But as much as i agree with the idea that it will be cool for garrison to stop the tracking is doesng make sense, shadestep you literally disappear.. twilight you just move out of the way, it just fits more with the hunter class and the shadestep ability itself, see?
-
3 RepliesDodging allows safe aerial attacks. Easy running and dodging. It makes Sunbreakers super almost impossible to kill. Twilight works for all classes. Titan skating with twilight is extremely fast. Twilight is fine. The fact that it can be done in the air is actually a plus...
-
2 RepliesI've never had it break tracking of any kind but oh well. Twilight Garrison is more annoying than anything. Super fast Titan with a shot gun fails to killl you so they dodge away around corners.
-
4 RepliesIt good as it is. Shadestep is the key for nightstalkers, take that away and they will no longer be fun or competitive. As for twilight garrison, the fact that titans are literally the fastest subclass, adding on top of it the ability to add to mobility, was kind of a wtf moment. In my opinion, no other class should be able to move like hunters. But that makes the the need to use an exotic armor a worthy trade off. Buffing it will only make titans an even better choice. If anyone was going to get an exotic to add mobility, it should have been gunslingers, or maybe a sunsingers. Gunslingers have zero neutral game. Speaking of shinobus, I agree they should not have been added. It's easily the best exotics for blade dancers. Perhaps instead of doubling the grenade, it should have just increased charge rate. Skips grenades are, in my opinion, OP. I can't out run then with max agility (with gunslinger) which is total garbage. On top of which, they track you relentlessly. Anyone know the key to mitigating skip grenades?

2 RepliesTotally disagree. Twilight is amazing
