Cabal on the Moon

So I was just exploring in a provide match yesterday on the cauldron getting screenshots and just looking at map details. I was looking around and I found 4 dead cabal piled up on the map. Could anyone make an explanation of this.
destiny would be so much better if we knew the lore.
There is a dead fallen on the dungeons map on the dreadnaught as well. Edit: I now realise that this is said in other comments, I'm sorry for this

      • Well, according to the card, the cauldron was a sort of court where "royalty" would "judge" beings. It's likely those humans, Cabal, and Eliksni were capture and brought to the chamber, where they were "judged" most likely by Crota (a hive prince), then killed.

        • We know a lot of the lore in destiny dear, mystery is just as important as information in world building

          • The Moon was a place for cool shit and humans went, humans got -blam!-ed by Hive Wizards with arc burn. The Fallen are just there, they also occasionally get bent over by Hive wizards with arc burn. The Cabal heard that there was once a Human country called "'Murica" and they had huge similarities. They searched for years to find critical info. A small squad landed on Earth and found a derelict building called, "McDonalds". They looked for years to find the headquarters. They found the location, on the moon. Unfortunately, the Hive took it over and destroyed it. The Cabal got -blam!-ed by Hive Wizards with arc burn and never got to see the CRITICAL INFO they were looking for.

            • It's either a Cabal scouting party sent to get intel on the Hive or was formerly a group of prisoners. In the Dungeons crucible map, a dead Vandal can be found laying in a stairwell. This Fallen was taken alive, most likely for the purpose of being Taken by Oryx. This is also proof that the Hive do sometimes take prisoners to study their opponents

              • Simple: the map designers of destiny know nothing about the lore. Examples? House winter banners in the plaguelands. House kings banners in the winter's run strike. And, most importantly, a non-taken house devils fallen corpse on the dungeons crucible map

There's also fallen bodies, human bodies (with astronaut outfits) and if you look on the cliff, there's a fallen skiff, a cabal harvester and a human spaceship

                • This has been discussed at length since TDB when the map was first introduced. The answer is that there is no real answer. There are only very loose fan theories.
