In the new novel, Halo: Fractures, we are introduced to the true entity of the Organon, an ancient Precursor artifact that is also known as the domain. This entity is an ancient AI known as Abaddon. What's his significance in the Halo story and what could this mean for Halo 6? Well, in religious texts, Abaddon is one of God's angels who, according to the Book Of Revelation, will bring forth his wrath during the end times in the form of plagues and destruction to cleanse the world in preparation for Armageddon. He is also known as the Angel of the abyss. So, what does this mean for Halo? Well, in the short story, Promises to Keep, Abaddon wants to bring forth the wrath of the Precursors upon the Forerunners. Now that the Forerunners are gone, Abaddon will probably set his sights upon Humanity. In relation to his biblical inspiration, Abaddon will bring forth a plague. This plague is obviously the eventual return of The Flood and he will use this as a final test in order to see if Humanity is TRULY ready to claim the Mantle Of Responsibility as the Precursors intended to in the past.
