People also dont realize that high impact HCs excel at challenging other HC archtypes outside their range. Most people argue "why use the slow gun when the other one can also three shot?" That added impact works as extended range to pad damage drop off when shooting outside of range, allowing you to still 3 shot a guy at extended range where a Palindrome might struggle and resort to a 4th shot to kill. High impact HC is where you start to blur into pulse rifle territory. That said it determines on your playstyle. Many maps are smaller in scale and engagements are closer together so Palindrome archtype is still a great all around choice overall

  • The heavier HCs are also boasting some mean base ranges. Just look at ill will all range, all impact, but almost zeros in the other stats

  • Yeah, pretty much all or nothing weapons. Stability is hardly needed and reload is an intended weakness I think, which is why first curse is supposed to be a big deal. I can understand why people dismiss it though tbh

They mainly dismiss it because their lack of thumbs requires over clocked stability
