This is insane I got restricted for 2 weeks as well. I can't help my Internet I live in the country and there is not one internet provider out here other than satellite I haven't had any issues playing for over a year yes some lag here and there of course my internet sucks but to get restricted is bullshit I payed my money for the game go take care of the people ddosing everyone actually cheating or pay an internet company to run fiber optic lines to my house

Keyword == Satellite Satellite sucks for gaming due to the built-in lag required sending a signal to orbit and back just to be able to use the regular Internet infrastructure again. Not to mention upstream is usually done via dial-up. If you use Satellite, then you shouldn't expect to be able to play much in terms of online FPS shooters. Or you could play, but your connection would be so horrid that it would be borderline unplayable for you in PvP. Only Bungie gives people with lag a major handicap in their scoring.

I have stated I understand my Internet is bad satellite has a horrid ping I know this but the fact of the matter is I've played destiny with this Internet for over a year and now all of a sudden they're gonna screw me. Also battlefield doesn't give me any problems nor any advantage the fact of the matter here is Hingis and activision all of a sudden wants to do something all of a sudden but they're screwing people like me who payed our money and have a bad situation that live in the country even though hundreds of thousands of people are actually using lag switches and ddosing people every weekend someone I know had been ddosed every single weekend they need to take care of that and leave us who don't cheat and payed our money alone

I doubt there are still hundreds of thousands of people regularly playing... and even if there were I doubt like 30% or 50% are lag switching and DDOS'ing. They've been talking about restricting people for historically bad internet since at least May or June. The fact that you've lasted this long with Satellite is honestly amazing. Trust me: other games lag just as much with Satellite... if not to you then to the people you're playing against. Bungie's netcode sucks, but every game takes a major hit once the built-in lag from a Satellite enters the mix. Satellite adds somewhere between 0.2 and 0.7 seconds of latency depending on your setup. That means when you fire a bullet, the other people in the match don't realize it until 0.2 or 0.7 seconds later beyond the normal ping. Meanwhile upstream tends to be something akin to old fashioned dial-up modems. Something like Destiny with P2P will eat that alive as it needs at least a stable 1 megabit upstream, preferably more.
