I just recently started playing again and I'm pretty green when it comes to this game. I'm wanting to go for a tank build but, don't know if I chose the right race (Brenton/Dragonknight).
Should I start from scratch with a new character?
Thanks for the input everyone, I ended up making a new character (orc/DK) still going going for a tank/dps build. Not gonna lie the game is getting addicting lol. Just wish leveling was a bit faster.

I went dummer on my dragon knight good to help out the DPS Breton is best for templar healer

Breton is probably not the best choice. Dragonknight spells take low magicka or last a long time, so it may be easier to choose a tougher race.

I would definitely change it, yes you can probably do it as a Breton but will definitely not be the best. Pretty sure you can change your race in the crown store but idk if you wana spend the money. I personally am an Orc dragon knight for my tank

Any questions just pm me

2 RepliesRace doesn't matter much, and you class is only a small part of being a tank. The most synergistic classes for ranking are dragonknights or Templars but anyone could technically fill the role. The most important part of tanking is that thatyou wear heavy armor, use a shield and block. Dragon knight can be good for this as you can pull in enemies and hold the threat on you easier.

I like nightblade the best.

Imperial redguard or orc.

Edited by Dim: 11/7/2016 9:52:04 PMBreton is a race for a magicka build. Your best off with a race that has stamina/health passives such as Redguard or Imperial. Dragonknights are one of the best classes for a tank. With your current setup a magicka DPS build would suit you better. Although then, the Dunmer race would have been your best option for a min/max build. You are low level, start another character the right way if you want to do end game vet trials. If you dont plan on doing those, any race/class is a viable combination for most vet hard mode dungeons. You may struggle on DLC dungeons with your current build though. With that said, I can tank most vet dungeons with my stam sorc in medium armor if I had to fill the role due to massive amounts of self burst heals. It really comes down to if you plan on running vet trials end game or not.
