Right, so you've already seen my other comment regarding how your story should not be placed in #lore, but you do have lore "fun facts" preluding them (which seems like a poor cop-out loophole to give you an excuse to keep positing in #lore if you ask me), but whatever. Let's talk lore.
Here's your Lore Fun Fact of the day: Guardians don't fire regular bullets out of their guns. Each round is infused with Light energy, giving us the ability to destroy powerful Darkness entities with "terrestrial bullets" as Cayde puts it.
So right off the bat, you're making a high claim about the way Guardian weapons function. It's a good theory and all, except that it's completely wrong. First off, let's look at the quote you use to support your claim.
Eris: The Taken are not bound by terrestrial constraints! Cayde:Yeah, I'll bet they'll be constrained by terrestrial bullets.
So, given the quote and the surrounding context, we can infer that Eris is saying that the Taken are not bound by regular earthly (aka terrestrial) things, such as walls, structures, and whatnot. Cayde calls the bullets terrestrial. Meaning earthly, and by very definition themselves, not magical. Or space-magical, I guess. This is also supported by various Cayde/Banshee quotes about how Light abilities are a good compliment to guns, but note that the way that they are talked about suggests that they are separate. Lastly, we can look at the enemy races. Hive weapons are literal magic, and Vex weapons are some sort of Vex energy conduit thing, so the elemental properties makes sense. So what about the Fallen or Cabal? Well, the Fallen utilize shock cores to power their Arc based weapons, and superheat shards of metal for their Solar weaponry. Their Null cannon is said to be some sort of void spike taken from experimentation with the Hive, but we have yet to have seen these void spikes in Hive territory, so we can only assume that the Splicers used the crystals to somehow tap into Void energy. Cabal weaponry is of a similar nature, with the high explosive power of their guns giving it a solar-like quality that comes close enough to the energy to be classified as Solar weaponry in Guardian intel. But where does this leave human weaponry? Well, we're not entirely sure how they're given elemental properties besides the fusion rifles, but I think that it's safe to assume that it's not the Guardians infusing the bullets with Light as they leave the gun. If this was the case, the element would automatically correspond to the equipped subclass being used by the Guardian wielding the weapon. So in Year 1, Titans should have been completely unable to make any of their guns deal Solar damage, yet we see that this isn't the case. I can't really tell you what it actually is, because we don't know. Some theorize that it's some sort of coating on the bullets themselves, or that they're a some sort of elemental source stored within the weapon. There isn't the detail to pin down what gives the weapons their elemental properties, but we can safely conclude that it isn't Light-infused bullets.

 • I wasn’t talking about elemental properties. I can't find the source for my "fun fact" though, so it's probably not 100% true. I'll change it until I can find the source. You got me. this post is now like all the other lore speculation on this forum. Regardless, what's the problem? I have lore in my posts. as far as I know, posting in lore hurts nobody and in fact does good to the people who enjoy my stories and would otherwise not see them. the argument against well-written and lore-based fanfiction being posted on the #Lore forums is weak. The only reason I can tell that people get upset about it is that they can't handle it for some reason. just dislike the post and go on your way. I'm going to keep posting in lore, and I'm going to keep adding (better researched) lore facts.

 • Like here's the thing. Having lore in a fanfiction does not make it about lore. It more than likely makes it a good fanfiction, but at the end of the day, the goal isn't to talk about the lore of Destiny, and that's why it should be put in #Destiny or #Gallery. Yes, there are a lot of terrible lore theories out there wth no basis in fact, but at least they're actually using the tag the way it's supposed to be used.

 • What about FF that become lore later on? Star wars EU/AU novels are good examples of this. Though they were not created by Lucas, he allowed them to be a part of Canon lore because they fit within the boundaries of what he imagined in his universe.

 • And if that happens, and a few selected stories gen canonized, #lore will welcome them. Until that point however, these stories are still fanfiction, and should be placed in an area that was designed to harbor similar works.

 • What's your point? Destiny fanfiction isn't official canon or lore.

 • Nor were the stories created by the authors of the EU/AU Star wars novels until they got approval from George Lucas. I'm talking abiut the very first few, I'm sure the latter were written with his graces already given. So, basically, all it would take for this to become official lore through means of EU (Extended Universe) is someone from Bungie to give their approval. I'd imagine they wouldn't mind doing so since they promote people writing and drawing for the..

 • Maybe some of us would like to see actual lore things in #lore? Putting your god darn FF in lore just makes it even worse

 • Well, when the lore is sparse to begin with, aside from speculation (which can be worse than FF), then you can't really blame people for trying to add to the lore in their own manner.

 • Your point is scarce as well. Do you forget about the people like Kagehoshi, or Ruin Tree, or even AnonPig, whom use their time to make excellent theories on lore? Have you forgot the clans that make sure they produce the best lore, Like The Lore Seekers or Collective of Knowledge, or even The Ashen Conflux? You're taking a small instance of ignorance to justify someone else's acts. Refer back to my prime number example. Our numbers are prime. A few from random people look like primes, but aren't. His are clearly not even close to prime, only the first three digits. So why use that point to defend someone who isn't even yourself?

 • Yes. Now. I've never used this term unironically before, so this is my first time.
stop being a white knight
Don't vouch for a cause you don't fully understand

 • I'm not really white knighting, per say. I just had a differing opinion on the subject matter. Even though I can see where you're coming from, doesn't mean I agree with it. I believe that a story such as RIP the dream (well written, includes established characters and lore, and actually feels as though it belongs in the Destiny universe) ought to be considered "lore" along the same lines as established AU (Alternate Universe) or EU (Extended Universe) novels. I can definitely understand why others don't agree with that though because it's not something that came from Bungie's mouth and therefore, it's technically not AU/EU unless confirmed otherwise.

 • It doesn't. Flat line right there. There's a difference between using "well established characters and lore" and using destiny's story so you don't have to think. I've never read it, but the name just casts me away. Like "RIP the dream"? Why?

 • For no reason. It's just a name to give the project.

 • A stupid one at that. Take back your reasoning to where you've come from. It isn't your place to explain that which should be explained by the man who wrote of it himself.
