It started off like that then they started adding more and more DLC and making it so if you didn't have the DLC you couldn't do activities you used to be able to do. If u didn't buy rise of iron and stayed on taken king then you couldn't do nightfall , trials, iron banner and other things

Ah, I bought legendary edition for $30 and then got rise of iron, so I only spent 60

Some bought the base game, dark below and house of wolves , the taken king and rise of iron when they came out which cost them $170.
