Why does regular crucible drop higher level loot than 90% of PVE?
You even capped the exotic chests at 385 in the raid, but I can get 2 kills in regular crucible and get a 397 primary weapon.
I feel like you should have the same chances to get higher loot as a solo player, matchmaking PVE or PVP.

Edited by Big Poppa JDog: 11/8/2016 2:19:25 AMThat's because coming in 2nd to last on the losing team with a .32 KD is harder than any PvE activity. Duh. Lol but seriously, the worse you do in PvP, the better the rewards. It's such an idiotic rewards system.

1 ReplyEver since Year 1 Bungie has wanted folks to play PVP more than PVE. This is a known fact. Most Year 1 PVE players have come to terms with this now. The sheer refusal to seperate PVE & PVP stats and effects, the fact that PVE events do not exist (Queen's Wrath was the only true PVE event.), and the reward systems have been proof of this. Also in most of Year 1, Bungie would brag and post about how many people played Iron Banner (even if it was just 1 game.), Trials of Osiris, and any new PVP mode. They would post hot zone maps, and tried to make it this big deal. The most Raids got was: ____ clan/group cleared it: first / in ___ time or with ___ people. It's pretty condemning when you look at the facts... Right now (I didn't read all comments.) Regular PVP only drops up to 400 Weapons, Class Items, & Exotics. Maybe Ghosts? I admit I think it is a slap in the face that the Raid doesn't have the 385 light cap removed fron Legendary Engrams. Legendaries from Siva Heroic Caches & Bosses (that are decrypted upon pick up) are higher than 385. But thats it. And like Strike chests you need a Key for those Caches. They should add a PVP key & chest so folks can try and get bonus loot mid-match. Just to be ugly & mean. (I say this because the 400 Light PVE avenues all require keys.) However, I get it. They want folks to grind this game out. They want people playing. Also this is Bungie. They have always cared more about pitting players against each other than having players cooperate with eachother. Let's not forget their motto... They won't help you find or make friends. They want us all to be enemies. Eitherway. Hang in there man. If a solo player like me can get to 390+ so can you. Ask around for Trials carries, raid once a week and you'll get to 400 in no time. Iron Banner is about to be here. I have already prepared my Notepad of Names to Block, got 3 cases of beer, a tooth guard (for gritting my teeth), and am prepared to farm Iron Banner until I get to 400 light & have enough 400 loot to pass down to my alts. The goal is armor...as Weapons are farmable in regular crucible. Plan it out man! You can do it!

9 RepliesIt is flat out obvious; PvP population has dropped, matches take forever to load, and the only way to shift the remaining players to a mode they dislike is to de-incentivize the other modes. Players go where the rewards are, plain and simple. People think SBMM is causing the connection problems - I believe it's more about a small player base. The game has to search farther and farther out to find them. Just finished two hours of Clash (the daily). In all that time only a few of the matches were completely populated. Last match was 4v4 at the start. This on a Saturday afternoon.

2 RepliesPvp has the crucible only. Pve has strikes, archons forge, hardmode raid...not sure your point here
-
You do. Strike Chests drop items up to 400.
-
1 ReplyPvp is like doing a strike, open a skeleton key chest and you will get the same LL as pvp drops.. Same rewards different gamemodes
-
2 RepliesMost of my higher drops were from raiding. Entering the crucible gave me infusion gear and rarely much above what I was using. Rarely - it did happen but raid and trials gave quite consistently
-
It's always been that way. Quicker to rank up too.

1 ReplyJust to correct you, exotics not capped in Raid, guessing you ran Hard b4 normal mode, chests can drop a normal or hard level exotic, normal reward exotic capped at 385, hard exotic drops will go to 400 still. Just poop double drop rng 🙃
-
because 90% of destiny players are there, and just a 10% on pve just bungie logic like legacy consoles.
-
1 ReplyPerhaps because the drop rate is lower? Your chances of earning an exotic from PvP (with 3oC) are no greater than that from a PvE Ultra, and takes about the same amount of time (with loading screens). Engrams decrypt at the same value as PvE. Don't see what the issue is... P.S. With Archon's Forge, you could probably level faster and get more purples in one hour than you could all day in Crucible. Still not seeing the issue...

Because now I don't need to find 5 other people to run a raid. I'm 399 from solo playing and pvp content. I love what they've done this time for leveling. ~ATullo~

Since it's a game hybrid, it has to cater to both PvP and PvE, with PvP having -Endgame drops (400 light; ~20%) -Trials of Osiris (390, 400 light; 4 guaranteed, bounties, ~15% end drop for armor, ~33% for exotic on flawless) -Iron Banner (400 light; ~20% end game drop rate, 2 guaranteed weapons & 2 armor) -Weekly Bounty (400 light; ~50% chance for weapon or armor, ~20% for an exotic) And PvE, Nightfall (400 light; ~60% for weapon or armor, ~20% for an exotic, guaranteed large amount of Vanguard rep) Strike Hoard chests (400 light; guaranteed to drop designated loot, ~40% for artifact, ~10% for skeleton key in Heroic) Raid (385, 400 light; guaranteed [special, boots], [heavy, gauntlets, chest], [ghost, artifact], [primary, helmet], exotic chests, *Not all drops may be 400* Archon's Forge (385, 400 light; 5-10% of dropping either a special, ghost, artifact, or armor) Besides, who would want to do PvP anyways? With SBMM and P2P servers, I'd rather not raise my light and go play another game than have to have shotguns pointing at every corner

what? have you drops from crucible? WOW i get like 1 legendary per 25 matches, hehe this is bungooooooo!!!!!!!!!

13 RepliesHard raid, strike chests, Archon's forge, Nightfall strikes all drop up to 400. Iron banner(Once a month), Trials(Only on weekends), and normal crucible has only WEAPONS/CLASS ITEMS up to 400. Its fine as it is, shut up and stop complaining about this, this is literally one of the dumbest generic posts that I see regularly on the forums.
-
10 RepliesCrucible will only drop weapons and class items I think.
-
Standard crucible drops (blues) are capped at 365. Legendary weapons and bonds drops up to 400. The legendaries are the PvP equivalent of strike hoards. PvE has the raid, providing upwards of 7 pieces of 400 Light gear. Trials, the closest PvP equivalent can drop 4 pieces of 400 gear, more if you get lucky from post-game rewards.
-
To entice you to play more than pve the way they did with everything. 385 drop caps on arching forge, 365 blues for strikes, patrols, etc. we asked for it and I'm enjoying it.

3 RepliesEdited by superhellboy186: 11/6/2016 12:12:48 AMBecause they want you playing their craptastic pvp over pve that's why. I have this horrible feeling that the next destiny is going to be solely pvp i shudder at that thought

3 Repliesnot true PvP weapons primary special heavy and class item trials. weapons armor class item ghost and artifact PVE archons forge. class item, ghost and artifact skeleton keys. all armor except chest boots. artifact class items nf. all armor weapons minus artifact raid. challenge mode drops all armor and weapons, hard mode drops, raid chest additional dip at 400 drops pve has numerous 3oc farms

2 RepliesHave you seen the lag there?? You better be getting something good to suffer through that for 10 minutes.
-
Raids, loot chests, forge. Crucible, trials, IB. Seems like an equal split, but in reality you have more chances in and will get more gear in PvE, so.......
-
Normal Crucible drops gear up to 400 light, which means you can get everything from crucible at 400 except for artifacts and ghosts, which you can easily get from trials and iron banner, PvE however only drops up to 400 light in the hard raid (fairly common), Nightfalls (up to 3 a week, that sucks), and Archons Forge (extremely rare). There's always been a huge imbalance in the PvP and PvE support, Crucible has always been favoured, everything gets nerfed because of Crucible, which in turn affects PvE, it's not fair. The Crucible is a bonus, not the main game.

9 RepliesIB will be here in a couple of days. That should help you at least a little.
