I am experiencing this same situation. I specifically bought the bond from the Dead Orbit vendor and deleted a Chroma-based armor piece from my warlock to make sure there weren't any Spektar complications. I have attempted two combos of shaders/emblems ("Revenant" and "Bittersteel" with "Omen of the Exodus" and "Omen of the Decayer") with various permutations for each, and no matter what activity I complete (Crucible, strikes, or patrol) none of the quest tasks increase in completion. I may be missing something, but it seems like I've met the quest parameters while avoiding the chroma glitch. Any information and assistance is appreciated.
