Exotic engrams decrypting below total light?
My total light level is 392 and I just popped 2 exotic engrams for every slot and every single one dropped at 391. What the complete f u c k?

there must be something really low compared to the others.. could it be ghost/artifact/class item? if you have something that is 3-5 light level lower than your total light, i would fix that first before decrypting anymore.. fyi.. every exotic i have decrypted while i was 400 has came out to 400..

I opened a few engrams (maybe 5-7) and they all opened at my light level :[

I have a theory that decrypting exotics on the same character reduces the chances of a higher drop rate. I levelled up my characters roughly at the same time and if I noticed I was receiving 399s on one, I'd transfer the next exotic Engram to another and decrypt. Just a thought.

Yep, good times. All I need is a 400 chest, everything else is 400 and exotic engrams when I find a chest have been 399 each time.... (3 times so far) Brutal

1 ReplyYou have to be smart with decrypting them.. do not just do it all at once.. Lemme try this... SO you overall light is 392. But your Helm is 394.. should you decrypt that helm engram? NO Boots are 389... should you decrypt that Boots engram.. awwwww YEAH. The boos will then decrypt ABOVE your overall light or exactly AT your overall light. Use that method and you will be fine. DO THEM ONE AT A TIME, and infuse\equip one at a time as well. The problem people are running into is just decrypting them without paying attention to the light of that item. It doesnt work doing it that way. Hope this helps.
