Serious question. And don't take this the wrong way but... what gives you the authority to say this isn't a bungie issue. The least the developer can do is look into why I got the gear and all of a sudden can not use it. Sounds like the classic case of a bug that needs to be fixed to me.

Your licenses are attached to the account on your console and Bungie does not have access to that. Do you yourself own Rise of Iron and preordered it? Or are you game sharing? If there is a bug, it would be widespread.

I myself own rise of iron. Yes I preordered it. No just because it isn't widespread doesn't rule out a bug specific to me. Not how computers and systems work in my experience. With each character being unique and ,each system being unique as well with the various circumstances ,and load outs and, also the different software ,...It is possible that something happened that messed up my character or account in game. I have signed into another PS4 in my home as well which I bought a separate rise of iron for my wife. Also preordered. I have restored licenses on both to try and remedy this. PlayStation says I have the gear and wipes their hands clean. Again. The least bungie can do is have somebody on their end take a look. I don't believe it is unreasonable to expect that as well.
