Edit: Anyone know if OW is skill or connection based matchmaking? Pls tell me if you can.
So im here, playing Overwatch competitive matches... Everything is good until I get some lvl 200+ on the enemy team and some lvl 100- on my team.
I know lvl isnt equall to skill, but the more time you play, the better you play.
The enemy team is a good solid team, no heroes changes, good balance, etc.
BUT my team... If they get killed they will change to the heroe they got killed by. That dont represent confidence with a heroe, if you are playing competitive matches is for a reason, isnt it?
They never say how his ult is going (%) or if it is fully charged, and thats very important if you are playing solo.
And they are bad in general.
I not saying im a good player, but they are bad...
Once upon a time I got 7 losed matches in a row...
Overwatch should matchmake you with players that have 2+ victories in a row if you have 2+ defeats in a row. (Actually I dont know if thats how it works, but whatev)
And you will say
Just play in group or git gud
I play in group sometimes, but my friends not play for ever Overwatch, and when I play in group I get victories more often, so thats good I guess.
I dont want to be that guy:
I ever lose in this game so needs to be fixed, I should win every match
but the matches I play solo are ridicously bad.
Just wanted to say it.
Sorry if my english is not that good, english isnt my main language :)
2 RepliesI'm not trying to b8 you but... I am amazed at the amount of people that try so hard in OW. I see people talking about co-ordination, planning, timing and stuff like that. When I first played it I thought it would be a fun pick up and play game that you really didn't get judged because you didn't tell people that your ult was at a certain percentage or what co-ordinate in the universe was
i am so triggered
4 RepliesI've seen a level 500. No joke.

4 RepliesDo you try to talk to your team? Also, you can see if your teammates have their ult on the "Select/Tab/whatever Playstation has" button. Little blue ult symbol below their hero portrait.
-
5 RepliesHave it set to auto join team chat, play your most comfortable characters, and or practice with key role characters in quick play, mercy, lucio zen, Reinhardt, Zayra, mccree

4 RepliesI feel your pain. I solo'd my way as a healer to 2600 and then dropped down to 2300 afterwards due to a chain of getting wrecked in matches by enemies that played smart & took me out at all times while my team pretty much ignored me and wondered why they didn't get healed. I've pretty much quit again. That game only just brings out an obscene amount of frustration due to players that don't believe in teamwork or team make up because they just want to play Call of Duty.

1 ReplyTo answer your edit, all Overwatch matchmaking is skill-based. Even in quick play. However, "skill" doesn't account for a lot of things. It doesn't account for coordination, or teamwork, or communication. It doesn't acknowledge that different heroes require different skill sets (playing genji well is vastly different than playing widow well, but both require a lot of skill on their own). And it doesn't really account for the individual skill of a player too much, rather it looks at how they did as a whole team mostly. So yes, it's skill based. But in a game like Overwatch, that skill will always be skewed.

The thigh I found out that work better is that if you loose two games in a row just stop playing and wait an hour to play again you'll probably end up getting better teammates later on when the bad players are off or just better people started playing

2 RepliesHonestly I've seen many mindless 2+ prestige players.

That's why I'm done playing competitive. I'll be happy with the 2000 I get at the end of the season. -
5 RepliesWhat rank are you? I've played solo at every rank, I can give you advice.

2 RepliesStylosa told me rank doesn't matter.
