Which primary Void weapon did you use to get Year 3 Thorn?
I used the Word of Crota. I never would have considered it during year 1, but I actually had fun with it in crucible!
Another thing. Does anyone else begrudgingly give respect when you see you've been killed by an old classic year 1 weapon that's been left behind?

None and did it on the titan with no problems at all. It isn't anything like the year one quest at all.

I did 75% of it with only abilities on my warlock then used word of crota, void side arm and truth and my hunter used mostly abilities and void party crasher

Got lucky with the mayhem playlist. Voidwalker and telesto. Had a lot of fun doing it too.

Didn't have a void primary. I'm among the unlucky few to never get word of crota (or fatebringer for that matter...) Got it on my hunter too and with no nightstalker in y1 I was totally reliant on my shotty and mg. Basically , i earned it the hard way

My wolves leash. Although I sorta cheated by playing it during a week that had mayhem, so I only had about 5 primary kills.

Yeah, i pulled my Epilogue that I'd never used before out of the vault, paired it with my void Patch-A, and just chucked as many grenades as i could (i had the quest on my Titan so i was using Defender). Excellent gun still, tore through opponents like a buzzsaw. I was finished with that part of the quest after maybe 10-12 matches of Supremacy. Mind you, i am awful at PvP.
