I still see the 9 as nine bungie employees sitting around a conference table debating on how they're going to screw us over for the week. Been here awhile so let me throw this out there "should we sell sunbreakers again?" "Seriously? We've had him sell them two weeks in a row" "I know and it'll drive the player base insane!"

So essentially, it's a round table conference, but they all show up wearing Master Rahool masks. That's probably closer to the truth than my idea haha.

Lots of similar tidbits sprinkled around in Bungie's tip o' the hat to the SciFi genre, starting with the PA system paging Commander Adama and more than a coincidence that the voices of Cayde, Ikora, Tess, etc, are done by actors from Firefly/Serenity, FarScape/StarGate, etc.
