Buff Spare change and red death archetype

Bungie, those weapons are literally overclassed by the grasp and the hawksaw archetypes.Make them more competitive with the others. The last video of Planet Destiny about Pulse rifles made me think about this. Make spare change 2 burst kill, and the Red Death to a 32 crit damage

  • Red Death needs a different perk. I'd replace unflinching for glass half full or even range finder

    For the red death at archetype, reduce the burst delay by 1 frame. This brings the TTK down to .9333s. For the spare change archetype, increase the base damage by 4%, this would make two bursts more consistent, but still require great accuracy.

  • Personally I use red death as a main weapon on my warlock. If it gets buffed and I miss less kills I'd be 3.0 in pvp... lofl red death is great where it is imo My kd is not always strong but I'm often 1.5-2.0

        • My Parthian shot two bursts all the time. Just hit crits. If anything put red death into the hawksaw archetype. The LROF is quite boring to use

          Low RoF/High Impact is already a potential two burst kill. No other pulse rifle should have that capability. I actually use medium RoF/medium Impact 95% of the time and have no issues with them. They are very similar to how medium RoF scout rifles perform. Not the fastest on paper but consistent and reliable. The solution isn't to make these a two burst because we would just have the same meta that existed when Taken King released and pulse rifles dominated all aspects of Crucible. The issues as I see it are that the faster RoF pulse rifles in the 73 and 77 RoF archetypes can easily overcome their inherent horizontal recoil with either counterbalance or max stability, and that they are more forgiving because of their ability to just fire off more bullets if you miss (which is difficult since their accuracy is so high). Base stability values for 73/77 and 59 RoF archetypes should be switched (66 remains the same) so that there is a fair trade off for being able to fire more bullets in the same amount of time. Now players using 73/77 have to work harder to manage recoil while spamming the trigger, while players using low RoF pulse rifles have greater success at landing a two burst precision kill but still have to be measured in their shots because of the inherent low RoF. It's easy to fall behind if you miss your shot or don't land precision.

            I have a Parthian shot that is close to being a god roll it has rodeo(which is perfect when your gun has massive as hell recoil), hand laid stock, and range finder. If it had counterbalance instead of rangefinder it you be a god roll with a straight as hell firing. I saw that video too and agree that they need more of those weapons in the rotation of crucible. But the new Parthian shot is in the spare change .25 archetype and it can kill with 2 burst I tested that a lot. My favorite gun type is pulse rifles, and usually as long as you get a really awesome roll you can compete with the grasp and hawksaw classes out wont put shot them because of the speed but you can compete. But over all I agree we need more guns in the spare change and nirwens mercy archetype.

            • But when these weapons HAD those exact specs they were considered game breaking and the screams for nerf were each and every day. Take it from me a pulse rifle lover to no end. There is a simple rule in this game and it is "we just can't have nice things".

            • Its still a two banger, kind of 34 crits x 6 = 204 and thats enough to kill any guardian but you usually don't land all crits with that archetype and once they become a 3 burst they're basically useless, completely agree about 32 for red death archetype though.

                • It appears no one remembers that the Red Death used to be of the spare change's archetype before the 2.0 patch where it, and the hopscotch pilgrim, where brought down to the Nirwen's Mercy archetype. They where pretty over powered back in the day.

                  • Red Death needs to be changed into the Spare Change Archetype. Red Death's Archetype sucks at the moment. I don't know why they haven't done this yet. And bring back its stability and Aggressive Ballistics recoil pattern.
