Is it possible, that those guys in the testing group are resposible for the desaster? Think about it, after all we know what happened to the game:
Group was formed early 2013 where the game was mostly finfished. Said testing group said it was too much like halo or some bs, Bungie/Activision Staff looked at the game and decided to screw it up big time. Joe staten couldn't watch this happen and left a few months later. Marty left a year later due to the fact that activision took more and more creative controll over the game...
just a thought.... man how i wish bungie could give us the OG story back (the one those testers were talking about)... imagine the mindf*** if it turnes out that the speaker is pure darkness that consumed a corpse. Kinda makes me sad that we got this messy and unfinished story :(

as somebody with experience in game test, without saying too much, your theory there is very credible, very.

Don't know if sarcastic or not. I, for my my part, have no idea what influence a testing group can have on a publisher or devs. Thats why I'm asking.

Not being sarcastic, they can have a profound effect and it's not unlikely those leaks came from various test groups

If that's true, than we, the community, are responsible for this mess... :/ kinda sad. The problem with this theory is that bungie isn't as transparent as they should be and we have no idea/facts that could prove what really happened (besides the lawsuit which is totally bungies fault). because of that, they're losing the benefit of the doubt. A simple "Sorry guys, we screwed up" would be enough.
