I was being stupid. I apologize.
You really don't. Out of the 7 billion people on the Earth right now, what makes you special? In fact even if you did do something worth while is it worth anything? In the end you'll die like everyone else and go to Heaven or Hell. God made us all different and unique, but we choose to live mediocre lives that are sad and meaningless.
Spending our times arguing over who's the best canindate.
Why Conservitives are worse than Liberals.
No one cares about you or your opinion. I mean God might care if you have seen your sin, and you've found purpose. But I mean come on. Without a God there is no morals, what makes your life worth anything. Even are emotions can be deconstructed by science.
Million of people have lived a variation of your life. Of my life. We're all going to die, so find something to live for okay?
We matter to our friends and family. We matter to God.

Maybe you should stop reading fairy tales and realize that once we die, we get buried or cremated or whatever, and then we do this amazing this called decompose which gives Mother Nature back all of the minerals and nutrients we stole from it by being born. Edit: it appears this was a suicidal post (maybe) at first? If believing this fairy tale helps get you through the day though, by all means, keep believing it. I wish Santa were real.

5 RepliesMy Grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about 10 years old when my mother said to him, 'If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately.'. Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 28, I have never touched a cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because your post gave me cancer anyway.

It is not necessarily the case that there is no meaning in anything, but that there is excess of meaning in certain things, which are nevertheless mistaken for the former. Indeed God gives all, including meaning, and man as a rational being/[b]subject[/b], is incomprehensibly full of meaning. It is the defining feature of subjectivity. Moreover, living a 'variation' of one's life is precisely that. Completely and absolutely necessarily unique thanks to the nature of subjectivity as a constant continueous flux of everchanging consciousness, a synthesis between the infinite and the finite, a nothingness, a constant state of becoming. However, don't get me wrong, I totally agree with you in regards to the typical mundane aspects of life being meaningless. For me, I call this despair and bad faith. Hence, people should strive to overcome the nihilism which is consuming the world.
