there have been many recent complaints about people being intentionally booted from Trials by the enemy team
Here is an easy solution that takes minimal effort for Bungie:

Victory against a team with missing guardians, does Not progress your Card

Doesn't matter if it was intentional DDoS, accidental Lag, or whatever, if the fight is Uneven, it doesn't qualify.
-we can't Enter Trials with less than 3, so this is a natural extension of that enforcement.
(to prevent exploit from either side, Losses will still count though -no intentional bailouts if you're losing!)
So now there's absolutely no incentive to DDoS, since the easy win won't count
This requires absolutely no effort on the part of the Cheater Reports Team, its a simple change to the way Cards tally the wins. A potential massive reduction in workload for Bungie in combating this problem.
Cozmo? what do you think? Please forward this idea to the team, Thank

wow that is actually a great idea bump bump bumpidity bump

Only problem i see is if people are losing and they get 1 to back out. Would that cancel the win and count as a no-contest for the "would-be winners"?
-
that won't work either as a player could easily back out.. although it is a start.. perhaps if you are still online then it will count but, if not then this might actually work.. something has to be done.

2 RepliesYeah thats good and all.... But what about Rage Quitters? They're getting smashed 4-0 and one of them leaves due to rage... BAM! Youve just played that game for nothing

5 RepliesNice try, but as others have said it has its faults. Want a real solution to Trials cheating? Dedicated servers for Trials. Then cheaters can only see the IP address of the server and not their opponents. And network manipulation will only hurt themselves. And it will be far easier for Bungie to detect poor connections versus manipulation. Will it happen? Bwaa hahahhahahhahaha! Nope.

5 RepliesThen I'd leave every time I'm losing, since I would get a loss either way, but can deny the enemy a win for the lols.
-
6 RepliesSo, if what I'm reading is correct, what you are proposing is if one person on the opposing team quits then the other team does not get a win on their card? No matter the circumstances. That's idiotic.

2 RepliesOnly thing with this is there are players who like to solo or 2 v 3 trials and it would prevent them challenging themselves.
