Recommended light level for first time normal wrath raid?
Should you be over 370? Two of my goons are 366 wondering if thats too low to try it. Thoughts?

I think heroics will get you to 385, I don't see a reason to not aim for around 380 if you've got the time.

Really depends on your teammates light level , and your skill. The more powerful they are. The more ball tickling you can do. I say be honest, let your team decide. Really tho until aksi part 2 you can get away with not being super helpful. By then the drops should push you quite a ways up.

If you intend to LFG I would recommend being at least 370 if you intend to join a group. The average requirement that I seem to see for normal is 370-375 (I've seen as high as 380 plus). Anything less than 370 is essentially depending on the kindness of strangers. At 375 you shouldn't have any problems, especially if you've watched videos of the raid mechanics beforehand (Keep in mind you may run into teams who still wont take you for whatever reason).

366 is fine, my group carried a 348 through but he literally did nothing...its easier to get a team if you are high enough level to contribute. Il be honest...normal really isn't that hard if you can communicate.

365 will be fine! You'll get higher drops anyway so your light will increase along the way...

For a full team of first timers? 365, just to increase your survivability. With a group of high light and experienced players? You can get by at 350

4 RepliesAny group of fairly high light levels should be able to carry you, regardless of light, on heroic - and even moreso on normal. But as others have stated, the problem is getting a spot in the first place. If you're worried about your light, spend an hour at the forge and turn in all the engrams you get one at a time, while always making sure you have the highest equipped. Should bump you a bit.

I'm trying the raid for the first time this weekend. I'm 370, and everybody tells me I'm fine.

I was 353 my first time through normal. It was hard, but not impossible.

Completed my first run on Normal at 366 with Randoms. Cake walk til Aksis Phase 2 then you have to pay attention. If your team is competent and knows how to communicate/listen, you'll be fine.

It was fine before hard mode released. Now everyone is expected to be close to 385 since it's easy now to get to 385 with heroic strikes and legendary engrams.

U can do it as 366 but not many teams will take u

I started at 353, couldn't do siege being until I was at least 360, and beat Aksis at 363. But it also depends on the ll of your fire team

4 RepliesThe first 4/5 of the raid can be done at 366 but it may not be physically possible to do enough damage in the final stage: phase 2 Aksis (for 98% of players). A good minimum would be half the team at 372-6 and half in the upper 36x's then the final stage can be done as long as all can stay alive and there are no weenies on the team that don't have heavy ammo synths.

Just run heroic strikes for an hour or so. That'll level you up very quickly. [spoiler]The spookiest (and luckiest) seven you will ever meet[/spoiler]

1 Reply366 is fine. Just be aware that the light level shoots up to 380 once you reach Aksis.
