AAA games should actually cost a lot more than $60. Have you noticed the price has never gone up on them? However, the cost of production of these games has skyrocketed with all the new tech. They have to either make all their money up front: charging $90+ for the game; or by micro transactions or other forms of merch. Its a business, take an economics class or something, educate yourself.

  • You don't think people know that? Instead of having a large game then chopping it all up into small dlcs (destiny year 1 and 2) why not make a large game that people want to buy and then add stuff onto it in the form of expansions (actual expansions) instead of using micro transactions to gain more money by tricking little kids into buying boxes that might give them what they want (essentially gambling)

  • Even if Dark Below and House of Wolves came with the game, you would then pay $40 for TTK and another $40 for another expansion? You are going to be spending more money either way, it's inevitable. Gaming is an expensive hobby, if you can't afford it, that's a "you" problem.

  • TTK was also cut content, look st some original trailers the dreadnought was part of the base game, assuming ROI wasn't cut content and it was going to be sold at $40 usd the total price of the game and all of its dlc with no cut content would be $100 usd which is significantly less expensive than the current $165 usd that was paid if you got the game at launch with no special editions

  • While TTK assets were shown off, I guarantee it was not fully designed and ready to play at launch. ROI was also not even planned until this year, so both still would have been expansions. Not to mention if you look at the road map they had released and then deleted there were supposed to be at least 2 more expansions and multiple "comets". This isn't a very stable game to argue price ceilings on since it had such a shaky development, but it could have been much more expensive.
