They actually won't reply, as they expect you to know everything they've said and done so they don't have to explain anything. It's why I'm including links. They contain your answer my friend. 👍🏻
Despite the great intentions to have Destinys Microtransactionated Funding of future DLC/s to happen which of course a lot of community got behind to support... DEREK CARROL, a member of Bungies highest inner circle of decision making (also known as "D.estitute of I.ntelligence C.laiming to be K.nowledgeable S.hills") announced a while ago that "all the money put into those microtransactions will not fund DLCs". And they will just keep it.

Which makes sense.... since Derek Carrol is ALSO the Bungie developer who took it personal that Destiny Community was asking him to add Matchmaking, as "Derek Carrol", once again... a member of Bungies highest inner circle of decision making (still known as "D.estitute of I.ntelligence C.laiming to be K.nowledgeable S.hills") got fed up with the community asking him for matchmaking, and announced live on twitch that he believed we were asking him to "find us friends" so he could feel empowered in denying communitys request for matchmaking AND imply the community has no friends, when in fact the community was asking Bungie to "find us players for in game activity/ies".

So, as you can see, Bungies inner Circle of decision makers, although very small, stands strong in the winds of change. No microtransaction funded DLC was had this day... Ever.

They never said it would pay for new DLC stuff, its a rumor from Kotaku or something like that if I recall.
-
Thank you for a concise and evidence backed argument here. If enough people demanded change we'd get it, but I doubt there's enough spines in the entire community across both consoles to do so.
-
Pertaining to community on consoles, yes it's plausible for change, similar to the "Phil Spencer Xbox DRM turn around" that happened post-xb1 launch on its day 1 patch. However, the disjointed and disconnected groups that believe Activision makes the decisions for Destiny and Bungie would have to come to terms with the fact BUNGIE makes all the decisions over the IP DESTINY in order to put enough pressure on Jason Jones and the rest at Bungie for change.

Not to mention it being a tiny group, swimming in cash, changing their minds on anything is like tryin to have a conversation online (most of the time). The games just too old news and everyone is too accepting of this kind of behavior. CD projekt red had the right idea, and I loved their jab at the industry with the Witcher 3s release paper talking about giving you a full, complete game with optional, unnecessary stuff coming later if you'd like it. Classy and we'll done.

Edited by Beck: 10/29/2016 4:39:35 PMI remember when I bought witcher. I posted a picture of the red paper card on here to show bungie what it looks like to be a developer that actually gives a -blam!- about their fan base.

But did they say it's supposed to fund live events? It's not specific but most would take that as implying that there's more to the events then than just generating more microtransactions
-
Exactly! I don't think the community is expecting a huge dlc to be paid for me micros but where are these live events? Clearly bungie expects this FotL to be paid for by the micros earned from this obvious cash grab.
-
Even if you paid there still isn't anything to do this year in the event after the quests. It's a few hours of content and microtransactions. That's it :(
-
Wow. So he's been one of the biggest problems this whole time.
-
One of several.
-
Yea I wasn't aware of this guy at bungie either. Seems like he's a real POS.
-
I knew about him but hadn't heard he specifically is a major hurtle to matchmaking
-
Thank you for your detailed response sir. Very much appreciated

Edited by WINTER PROPHET: 10/28/2016 4:56:21 PMApologies on not being able to find anything literal on "events" via Bungies employees. I do have this tho. Its an attempt to interview this young and attractive developer at Bungie for his highly intellectual standards after he stated that he removed elemental primaries from Destiny to give the game more variety. He's a witty fellow. With great ideals... and he strikes me as a very moist individual. 👍🏻
