Im thinking I should just skip the Whiterun home and go straight to the build a home or solitude. What is everyone else doing

I bought the Breezehome in White Run just so I could save up some materials, do some alchemy and use the forge next door. Just bought my land and finished my main hall this morning, but then I had to log off. Should finish it this weekend. It will be so nice to have everything in one place. Gonna need to build a consignment shop for all my crap pretty soon.

The one in the snow where you can makes fish place. The one near the lake is too crowded imo.
-
I always just store my extras in the skeleton under the bridge right outside of Dragonsreach in Whiterun until I build my own house

Considering I played through on PS3 and owned all three hearthfire houses I went and downloaded a mod this time for Dovakiin castle, has over 100 mannequins and a ridiculous amount of storage space you can also fast travel to it immediately. While this is a tad game breaking considering there is a chest downstairs containing a bunch of smithing materials some steel armour and about 10k gold you can just not go to that chest I suppose. Regardless I'll end up building the 3 variations of hearthfire houses then buying the houses in each hold so my housecarls have a home to rest in. I have put too much thought into this.

I'm going to use the camping mod and be a bum

I always stuck with the one in Whiterun, it's next to the blacksmiths; so it's good for grinding that skill tree.

Edited by Aldrich: 10/29/2016 3:10:17 AMArchmage tower at the college. Quests aside, it's free. And already decked out. And a good chunk of trainers are right there. Plus the Midden and that altar thing. Will eventually build a trap mansion out in the wilderness somewhere though.

Heljarchen Hall, cause honestly it's closer to whiterun, and there isn't that stupid group of bandits that spawns like 20 yards away like at lakeview manor
-
I put mine right outside the Hunter shop, or whatever it's called. Two barrels allow for slight organization.
-
Falkreath house is the best one but consider initial storage space. 5000 gold isn't a lot to pay for a home.
-
Always end up in Hjerim or the house in Markarth. Usually both.
-
Hjerim in windhelm
-
I usually just get to the part of the main quest where you have a "safe chest" to store your stuff. I usually either buy the Solitude house or make my own.

House mods duh when I get home I'm going to install a lot of mods and one of them is going to be a house mod
