Almost everyone has complete and utter discontent with how congress is doing. Almost everybody is elected back to congress. Do you see the flaw in your reasoning? The system is broken. If people disapprove of the way congress is going, yer everybody is happy with their individual representative than how do the numbers add up? They don't. The myth is that if somebody in congress fails to do their job they'll be removed from office, as people with not reelect them. That's not true, and more over public opinion has no correlation with which laws are pasted. In fact, it has everything to do with who has the most money to donate. Should we be shocked that the energy committee passes laws favorable to Exxon when Exxon is paying in donation money the Senators on the committee? Is that a conflict of interest? Do you see how utterly -blam!-ed the system is. I'm not willing to accept Soviet Union levels of democracy. Either reform the system or burn it to the ground.

fair enough, generalizing has flaws, even when it comes to ww2 german soldiers. congress needs to be rebuilt though.

My point is that people can like their own senators and Representatives without liking all of them.
