Please like, if you paid zero silver to this date.

Never buying silver or any other ingame 'currency'. People who buy that shit are creating an environment for greedy asshats who want us to throw money at the screen. Clarification: I don't mind adults spending their money on things. If Bungie sells something for a fixed price and people are stupid enough to shell out money, so be it. I still find that questionable, because this one thing is awfully expensive compared to the cost of a whole game. What I find criminal is to hide the real cost of things behind a RNG system that makes you accept a much higher cost because you don't get told the probability of items. Bungie just tells us which items we get by chance without any method to evaluate the potential price tag! That's not a fair buissines tactic. IGN needed around 100$ to get all items from the FotL packages. That's the price of the whole vanilla game plus HoW and CE. Do you think that's an incentive for Bungie to bring us more planets, cutscenes and missions, or will they make more superfluous 'events' to sell you even more of that wonderbag stuff? Would you buy any good in a shop where you have to pay first and then roll on a secret loot table? You want some german beer and get 5x root beer and some bread instead? Would you pay until you got your real beer? Thanks for the intense discussion. Never tought this would go that far. Edit: Corrected a spelling error. (I am german. Hints on how to write something correctly are appreciated.)

  • My problem is this event this year is pointless as hell I've made 2 videos an commented on briar an tefty teft videos here my issue. 1 bungie hypes this event up with a trailer an showing all great loot u can get which is locked behind a pay wall while yes u can earn up to 3 free boxes not everybody has 3 guardians on destiny an plus the boxes are rng based anyway. 2. The candy bags this year are pointless an don't let u obtain the masks like they did last year or even the new consumables. U get a shader an 2 old things. why not add the new masks an consumables to the bags when u fill them up?. it even says on the bag 2016 festivals of lost so why we get 2015 stuff. 3. The quests were the exact same as last year aside from one an u couldn't even wear new masks on missions aside from 1. how does bungie expect this event to last 2 weeks when it's dead within 2 days?. They said it was bigger an better this year but yet only thing bigger an better is people's wallets an how much they spend. 4. Even Eva selling masks they don't rotate it's the same ones each day. Bungie needs learn to balance this have ppl pay with there play time.not there wallet. an have them earn the loot an grind for it the players who enjoy your game. 5. All bungie has to do is Tues on reset add the 6 new consumables to the candy satchel bags an the new masks. then add the ghost shells an new sparrow In pvp drops as reward like they did with the shader. All in all yes we got new shaders an cool sparrow which Is going away but it's just decorations for 2 weeks that's it I agree with u an maybe on reset bungie will fix this it's not a good way am hope u unknown player more console make videos about It

    • Nope. Only silver I've spent was the 200 free they gave us. I'll never purchase any.

      • I bought the product that was advertised. I am not paying for all this bullshit that should be in the game for free. I have not and will never buy any silver.

      • I've never payed for silva and probable never will, but it's not like the silva perchaches had made this game pay to win. It's on foot small floating island over lava for sure when you count in the rep boosters, armours and a non garranteed *ghost ghost*. The point is, the people who brought them, has no decisive advantage over you or anyone else. It's that simple.

      • Sadly microtransactions will never go away in destiny because of brain dead Destiny bungie fanboys and also the fact they're the reason festival of the lost is a cash grab

      • Too true, to this day I have spent £0.00 on silver and I still get all the legendary emotes like Just Do It to the Strange Dance from 2015 Crimson Doubles event. It goes to show how much it seems bungie are pretty much just begging for more money and it seems DLC in DLC out.

      • I haven't bought silver until today. I wanted Ghost Ghost. I have 500 silver left on my character, and can still do a FotL treasure on my titan. Idk if I want to buy 2 more treasures and hope for the ghost, or just buy the terrify floaty emote.

      • Never bought any silver. I don't see the use. The emotes and stuff are fun, but it doesn't make the game better. So I will carry on without it ;)

I buy 5 - 20 dollars per event but that's it. I have a well paying job and I'll treat myself on something I enjoy. Edit: I didn't read all of the post, you seemed civil at first but when you called people stupid for spending money on silver, you lost me. Get a good job and stop being a peasant. People spend money on equally dumb shit in other areas of media and real life stores.

The only silver I have ever used was the stuff they gave you for free when they introduced the atrocity that is eververse.

          • I've paid about 10 to 15 bucks a month since TTK launched. That's about as much as the average MMO subscription. Considering I play Destiny almost every single day, I think that's fair.

            • Microtransactions and premium currency always lead to games in which the primary focus is on selling microtransactions and premium currency, NOT on making the best game experience possible. Every major update offers shiny new toys for sale, while bugs never get fixed, basic functionality never gets added, and gameplay gets more and more time-consuming and tedious. I blame Bunglevision and all the game companies that adopted a premium currency/microtransaction model, but I've reached the point where I place most of the blame on gamers who shell out for that stuff. Think you're helping me by paying for my content? Hardly. I'd much rather buy my games outright and not have to deal with this kind of bait-and-switch, sleight-of-hand nonsense. Thanks to microtransactions and premium currency, I can no longer find any new games worth playing. Besides, Destiny already costs a premium price and that free DLC still hasn't materialized. So quit pretending that you're helping me out. Yes, it's your money and you're allowed to spend it as you see fit, but by supporting this greedy practice, you're ensuring it won't stop. So if you buy microtransactions or premium currency, I blame YOU for what's happened to gaming. PS: The industry standard term for people who spend lots of money on premium currency is whale. Which doesn't sound bad until you remember what whalers do to the whales they catch. Don't be a whale for these people.
