Loving the hell outof scout class right now. Some tips:- most rifles have a OHK kill range which itll show in the stats, think SMLEs starts at 40meters which is a good place to hide and survey the area, which the periscope is BOSS at since you can mark targets while in cover.
Some people dont know what the flare gun does but its the most OP thing, shoot a flare before assaulting a point and all enemys will show up on the minimap, a good time to switch to pistol and sneak up on all the enemys that you can see but they cant see you :)
Scouts can be devistating in close range with the Gweher M variants quick RoF, combine that with tripmines a solid pistol AND the ability to always see the enemys (aka flares) it's realy not hard to top score everytime on game modes like TDM and Domination.

Do you shoot the flare straight up or have to aim it anywhere in particular?

Oh and usualy the infantry fighting varients of the planes come with flares aswell, these are large scale flares that realy help out your team mates on the ground.

I hit people from within 40m and I never get a one hit kill, I'm not sure of that's correct.

Oh your saying that after 40 meters it's a ohk? I still don't believe that, I've gotten hit markers from across map and haven't gotten the kill. Unless I'm hitting them in the foot then I don't think you can ohk with a sniper without a headshot.

Look at the weapons stats, it has a graph which tells you its OHK range. Like i said i think the SMLEs is from 40m to 80m.

Only Scout weapon that can't OHK is the Gweher M variant but makes up for it with quick RoF, oh and that other experimental one. The rest have a graph and on that graph there's like a line with a hill, that hill indicates at what range the wep will OHK to the body.

Don't forget the flare can also light people on fire lol

mine light people on fire randomly all the time, I'll be chilling and all of a sudden points just start showing up and I know some assholes on fire somewhere lol I laugh everytime lol

I lol when im dogfighting and the enemys plane randomly pops flare thinking it'll somehow break the lock on??? I dont think they quite understand what they do

I didn't realize what they did until like 10h in lol now I shoot them off all the time to support the squad, but I rarely see people using them I think you're right, not too many people understand what they do. I get in games frequently where people don't seem to get squad spawning either if I find myself on a squad where everyone else is off doing shit solo I just leave the squad and join another open squad. I mean, wtf, that's the core of the game, you want to win, stick to your squad, support it with your class abilities, balance it out and ptfo
