A Year off

So I've not played the game for about a year and so much has changed to the point I dont know what i'm doing. I just bought the collection edition with The Taken King and Rise Of Iron and the level 40 boost. The problem now is all my exotic weapons seem useless now, I can upgrade them to year 1 status but is it worth it? Same goes for the armour. I'm starting to go through the quests for Taken King and am getting better rares drop than the legendary items I have equipped. Whats with the fusing of weapons and armour? Is it a good or bad thing? I'm struggling to get my head round it all, new currency, new consumables, silver, different ghosts, sub classes and dont know what does what, the things I should use or discard?, and what is worth doing and what isnt? Also I've never done a raid, dont know enough people who play and I'm not the friendliest of people so no point playing with people I dont know unless I actually know them in my personal life. Can they be done easier solo now i'm level 40 or do they still need more than one person? Thats about the only thing I've noticed is still no matchmaking for raids. I expect there is more in the game I dont know about yet but I'll deal with that when i get to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • If you've had a year off then just play! Don't try and rush, it's not worth it. Enjoy collecting exotics again. Enjoy running strikes. Buy 3 of coins from xur at the weekend. Complete The Mountaintop Pvp quest line. See you out there guardian!
