Faction packages capped at 390 is really lame
Really bad move Bungie.

Edit 2: So after running Trials this morning, I find the avenues to progression even more vexing and inconsistent.
A large number of people who disagree think that faction ranks are too easy and that it's not earning endgame light levels and with that in mind, someone please justify Trials rewards.
You can do nothing. Lose every match. Never get a kill. Never try and get post match armor drops up to 400. But the gold tier bounty that actually requires a little effort and 20 round wins drops at 390...
What the actual -blam!-?
If it's about playing endgame content to earn your light, why would the bounty that requires effort not give it but the post match rewards do?
Again, this shit isn't consistent and that's my problem with cutting off factions. It's arbitrary and changes nothing in being able to get max light without raiding other than punish people who play solo.

8 RepliesBleh. I agree in saying that Faction Packages not going to 400 sucks. As you can't choose the Armor/Weapon slot you are awarded. So its completely random and raising those factions takes time and effort. If anything you are playing the game. One thing that made Diablo 3 so fun is that you could get good gear running the content you enjoy. The game remembered what the point of a Game is...to have FUN. It kills me though. People act like hitting 400 will suddenly infuse the individual with skills. I know from being dragged kicking snd screaming into Hard Mode Oryx that max light doesn't mean a thing. I personally don't care to hit max light. Honestly, just like in other MMOs the "Top Tier" crowd is typically scum. They tend to be lacking in positive attitude, demeanor, manners, and respecrso why would I want to join them? The funny thing is...in truth they don't want you to Raid. Look at LFG. These folks in this thread say "Raid for it." Well to Raid for it a person needs to be 400 for the HM now. "LFM for WotM HM. Must be 400, must have ____." I'd post lonks to some of the ads but that might be considered name shaming so... Anyways. Sols just afk/cheese pvp for it if you are that upset. I already see lots of 390s doing that. I probably will do the same when I get bored of being 390 (once I hit 390). The point of the game is to have fun. Don't turn it into a job.
