Titans have been quite talked since the striker started beimg played more often, but are they really that good? A couple of you already know my stance, but for those of you who dont, Titans are definitely the worst pvp class Here's my thoguhts on the more controversial stuff Shouldercharge was already an abilty that only worked on non tactically aware players or players with a general lack of aim. Its always been a high risk move thats generally pretty difficult to hit, and generally is a "kill me" move. And with a nerf.... its been reduced to uselessness Juggernaut is far from op, it onky covers the from and isint even that strong. Its easy to juke out someone coming at you with this and it comes down once its time to fire. Plus, you can shoot over and under it Lightning grenades, one of 3 grenades that can be shot. Its designed for area denial, so it can be avoided by walking away. And an easy counter is just to stay outdoors. Spike grenade may do less damage but is far better since it does not damage the user, but neither are op in any way. Lightingnades overall are pretty bad .Fist of panic, its a super, what did you expect? Why does the ranged nova bomb never get any crap? Its always the fist of havoc that gets crap But enough about my thoughts, what do you think?

  • Hmm. I'll share my thoughts on it, but I don't play my Titan very often at all, and my K/D looks pretty trashy as well, so feel free to correct me! My opinions will most likely reflect the thoughts and actions of casual players. For the average Joe, striker is a very easy subclass to learn (not master) and use. Lightning Grenades provide area denial while dealing high damage to anyone who is in its wake. Most players at my level are not aware you can shoot the lightning grenade. It has a large cone, softens enemies, and gives territorial control. Juggernaut causes a lot of players to panic. Once again, most lower tiered players are not aware that you can shoot it, or aim around it. People panic and essentially hand the Titan the kill. It gives protection against pre-fire also. It doesn't seem too useful in high tier gameplay because you can shoot around it or flank. I'm not sure if you can shoot while using it, but I presume you cannot because you can't shoot while running anyways. It causes you to be a sitting duck that doesn't allow you to react to a fast-paced game that requires adaptability. Shoulder Charge has been nerfed so hard that it is a mere shell of the threat it used to be. It gave the Titan a much needed longer-range melee as a high-risk, high reward ability. However, the exploit of running against a wall to charge it made it frustrating. It caused the risky part of the ability (sprinting out in the open) to be canceled out, and many didn't know how to counter it. I feel like the nerf could have been handled slightly differently to stop the exploit, but that's never how it works! For creative guardians, shoulder charge is a mobility tool that lets you peek / snipe down a corridor then quickly move away. There are some pretty cool videos that show you how it's done. For movement, Titans have Titan skating and Twilight Garrison. I never owned a Twilight Garrison so I don't feel that I have a place to judge its versatility and effectiveness in PvP. Super-wise, Fist of Havoc can be used in two main ways : AoE control (useful in objective gameplay) and as a super counter (mainly seen in 3v3 elimination). While its brother Nova Bomb has more range and customization options, FoH has less frames to activate. For a rushing Bladedancer or stormcaller, it is the end of their super unless they juke you out. If you have death from above you can get a bit more range. For lower skill players, it can easily be a panic super. But in the right hands, it can be used to control the enemies' super usage. tl;dr - Striker Titan abilities have their effectiveness in the game. It is much better than the Sunsinger and Gunslinger right now. It needs a buff to melee, but it seems pretty fair considering the other Titan subclasses.
