What trials means to me...

Tldr: I now play trials but won't make it to the Lighthouse. I'm getting better. I've seen people complain about making different tiers for elite players in Trials. I've seen people complain about wanting to have fun and not being put up against try hards. I say psssh to you all. Play normal crucible. I've never been to the Lighthouse because I'm not good at pvp. There I said it. I have some shining moments but most of the time a quick scope or slide shotgun ends my day. Blinking hunters or voidwalker yep. Wombo tossers yep. Stormcaller with landfall dang...crouchers...cherry pickers and the list goes on. Well fellow scrubs guess what I got over it. There are some elite mofos that will always make me look like a one legged man in a butt kicking contest but other times I sneak in that lucky strike. I met a titan that could shoot his fusion one way and shoulder charge 90 degrees the other way. It was legit I even looked up his how to. Most of the time though I learn hey this guy is a one trick pony and I can stop it. I learned how to stay off sniper lanes. I learned that if a titan runs at you with a primary in his hands its a shoulder charge. Ive learned suppression nades are perfect. I've learned juggernaut titans hate high impact fusions and sticky nades (they also have legs). Trials isn't just any pvp. This is where the big guns come to get better. Bring your A game or get put out. Prepare for losing and lots of people using emotes in your death screen. Learn from your mistakes. Your kd will fall but unless you're elite choose a gun setup and stick with it. Practice and find what works for you.
