Still totally disagree on having the cannon grabber move. Like you said in the video, it literally doesnt take more than a couple of seconds for someone to switch places. So why in God's name would you have someone who also needs to focus on servitors move - especially when you know for a fact that many of those servitors will be late because your team mates dont kill theirs to free up the next spawn. On top of this you also have to constantly keep track of the HP bar, because if someone throws the last ball when you're out chasing a servitor you might be screwed. Hence, it's way easier to always have one dedicated guy on cannon, regardless of empowerment. Because on the sides atleast you never have to leave your spot to take down servitors. And the orb thrower, in the event that he has to switch - due to double empowerments -will probably will be on the other side long before the first orb is down (and even if he doesnt you'll have plenty of time to grab the orb and simply throw it, takes 1 second). Additionally, it's way easier for someone who actually throws orbs to keep track of the HP meter - and he can throw the last orb when he's at the plate. By having dedicated roles you never have to end up in a situation where some random forgets if he's supposed to throw orbs or grab the cannon with empowerment or that the guy who totally blows at one thing is forced to do it. Also - and I'm saying this as someone who has three hunters; LFG groups should never , NEVER, ask for Hunters. The only place where hunters are decent is the siege engine but on everything els you're way better of with the survivability that self-res warlocks and defenders bring. Because that's the problem in LFG groups, survivability. DPS is literally never the issue so there is no need for tethers.

No need for tethers lol. C'mon bro. Tethers are awesome for orbs. Which with the raid gear perks also aid in survivability. Obviously dps isnt an issue, but i'd still rather have a tether than not just to 2 or 3 phase kill and speed shit up. Also, in our group we dont have any dedicated roles. Everyone knows how to throw a bomb or use a canon. So priority should lie in having your empowered be in place well before dropping shield. If you become empowered you stay put to throw bombs, and the other guy whoever that may be at the time takes canon. Whoever is double empowed quickly switches. That way, the empowered people never move at all, so we never miss a slam dunk. Beat aksis hm second try without much issue. Of course, any way works if your all decent players. But empowered stay, unempowered move is always the most efficient. Any other way just seems unecessarily messy.

  • "In our group". I'm speaking from a LFG point of view, which is a completely different story. You'll have a mix of people who are used to doing it three different ways - to the point that the discussion regarding how you're supposed to do it usually takes longer than the actual fight.

  • I disagree. I'm not saying your way is wrong, it's just that I always grab the cannon whether I'm empowered or not. I get my servitors nice and quick and always get back to my side. Alot of times you can shoot the servitor from the side you're manning up. I've never had a problem with this although I do understand your point, I just don't agree with it.

  • But that's exactly what I was saying "dedicated guy on cannon, regardless of empowerment". So in that sense we're on the same page. I don't know how you feel about double empowerments - because you never said - but when that happens I want the other guy to move, since all he has to do is to move (without having to also focus on killing stuff).
