Really too lazy to replay the mission, but weren't all guardians stuck on earth until after we reactivated the Array in the cosmodrone? If that is the case, how have we been having crucible events on the moon, venus, and mars before that point?

Edited by A Rising Wind: 10/22/2016 10:13:26 AMThe last array had nothing to do with traveling to other planets. It's s communication array that links satellites that would make it possible to communicate with other planets colonies again. Rasputin used it to reclaim control of defense systems on other planets. But you could still use your ship (though in game light level mechanics prevented so in PvE at the time) Edit: link. Here is a card showing a hunter already on Mars at the time we open the array http://www.ishtar-collective.net/cards/ghost-fragment-rasputin-2?highlight=Rasputin

Technically, PvP/Crucible wasn't active during the first few months of the game, so, from a story perspective, you wouldn't be running Crucible matches until AFTER those areas had been repurposed AFTER the core storyline. But continuity is pretty much a mess with all the garbage decisions Bungie has made since then, so that all gets thrown in the trash and RetConned now.

Because the main story writer quit and bungie had to throw a story together.

Edited by Qwerty: 10/21/2016 3:47:07 PMGuardians have been everywhere at one point, and stuff like the Moon was only closed off from Vanguard support after Crota killed a bunch of people. Only our Guardian was truly contained to Earth. While the Vanguard might be scared, Shaxx and his Crucible are not (dude went into the Black Garden!). They go to abandoned areas of every planet and moon. If you notice, Y1 Destiny has no HIVE Moon maps until after Crota's demise in TDB. The Crucible's secondary purpose is to have Guardians everywhere incase a threat (the Darkness) shows up. Thus, Guardians have been fighting everywhere before our Guardian was ressurected.
