Dude it took them over 6 months to fix the glitchy sunbreaker hammers, I doubt they will give you what you want. Warlocks have the longest ranged melees, so that's a plus. Your melee not on kill gives you an overshield, that's a plus. You can literally come back to life, which is a plus. You have the best overall sticky grenade and the best lingering grenade in the game. You have the worst [i]bolt[/i]grenade on sunsinger but a grenade that you just chuck near enemies to damage them shouldnt be that powerful anyways. It's the most forgiving pve super (because self res). And technically if you didn't use only self res then in PvP you are much more efficient because of radiant skin and fusions, so that's a thing. Some of the most useful exotics class wise. With titans having the most useless. (Empyrean bellicose, dune marchers, the worst class exclusive weapons) If your running sunsinger in PvP just use tlaloc because you won't be using your super much. Most of the changes you suggested are a bit...broken. The only thing sun singer really needs is like a 1/2 second of invincibility after self resing to prevent being instakilled.

  • Are kidding me? Do you know how many times I have died to a snipe of the Self-Res in Trials? Three guys just stand at a distance and the second you are up you go right back down, meaning you just held that self-res in for nothing! Sunsingers absolutely need a brief moment of invincibility to compensate for asshole Snipers

  • What's the point of selfressing if you're put back down? Yeah, there's has to be a moment of invincibility. Anyway, Bungie nerfed self ress by reducing the Super time to just 7 seconds, 7.

  • I meant so that you can't immediately get sniped or shotgun meleed out of your super, and I mean like a half second, just enough time for them to jump or something because they don't even completely finish the animation before they are sniped.

  • -Flameshield was nerfed and now it's borderline useless -Other than Trials, Fireborn is completely useless in PVP. Even in there it's not anything special if you're going up against competent players, and tell me with a straight face what raid group would rather have a SS over a Defender or NS. -Our fusions are pretty good but firebolt and solar flare are so bad. Even with Ignite and Sunbreakers on, flare grenades still suck. The nerfs to fire bolt completely ruined them -I don't know actual numbers but I'm a Warlock main and I've never believed Radiant Skin to be much of a difference maker in PVE or PVP. Maybe a die a hair slower, but I don't notice much improvement

  • Well lag plays a part into that, but sometimes if the enemy is running away and it hits them sometimes it does nothing or 91 damage exactly with the rare chance of killing.

  • Lag can be a big factor but it gets annoying how other supers don't get crippled as much by lag unlike Sunbreakers.

  • And supers are more difficult to kill with sunbreaker than with the other powerful roaming supers, in my opinion.

  • You don't have much time to run and throw anymore. Most players can run away in time before you have a chance to get to them. When you do they'll dodge you hammers because they nerfed the tracking.

  • I know right, if you could titan skate and throw hammers it would be better. Also if they intend to name it as a ranged super, atleast make its hammers travel faster so the arc is a bit less severe.

  • Having faster traveling hammers would also help catch those players who dodge the hammers and it would make be nice to have more range. If this did happen then we would see more players use Sunbreaker in Crucible.

  • Did you know forgemaster doesn't actually give you more hammers? It just slightly increases the duration, but you still get the same 5 hammers whether you use suncharge or sunspots.

    So there's actually no point in using it? Thank you Bungie for giving us a pointless perk. I'm going to double check that tomorrow just to see for myself.

  • It just increases duration and blast radius. The only way to get 6 hammers is with fire keeper on and forgemaster, but you barely get it off while standing in the sunspot.

  • Plus that's not so great in pvp because nobody will be around when you use it.

  • I wish they would fix sunbreaker so that if you are killed the second you activate your super you lose it. It's (super ready) hammer sou-dead and super gone even before you finish the animation, even at the very start as well.

  • That's happened many times. The super shouldn't activate the duration while the animation is playing so the players won't lose their super without fighting back. This goes for ever super.

  • It seems to happen during the earliest pop of super for sunbreakers though. But yeah I think so too.

  • Maybe it was Bungie's way of balancing Sunbreaker when it released because Sunbreakers have barely any resistance and can be headshotted easily.
