I'm a warlock main and I love the sun singer subclass. Especially in the early days.
But in my opinion, Sunsinger's should receive a buff because of the fact that it's not to great in pvp and in pve, I see it mainly be used for self rez. There are many people who are skilled with this subclass when it comes to pvp, but I think they could use a small buff so they can be used in all activities like other subclasses. What kind of buffs do you guys think Sunsinger's need?

That's just funny to see people yelling at sunsingers need a nerf back in the days and now every 5th article here is about a sunsinger buff
-
I like my PvE insanity with Solar Flare + Sunbreakers + Touch of Flame + Viking Funeral. But hey, I'd take buffs to make it even sillier :D
-
Wow, not a single post on the fact that Sunsinger's is a singular possessive while Sunsingers is a plural. Kudos! ... Well, crap. I guess I'm that guy now.

My short opinion on this is that you can use no brains as a nightstalker or a defender and you're supporting your team. Bubble and Tether just do work. You can't radiance and automatically support. I'd prefer radiance automatically include song of flame, and not be a subnode. It's called radiance for pete's sake!

My 2 cents as an average Sunsinger main. We don't really need a buff so much as a rework. I personally want to see a movement exotic or a rearranging of the perk tree. I am also selfish and play a very unpopular build. I will say this. Sunsinger was based on a neutral game that is now much different than intended. I think the class has a lot to offer and I fair well in strikes and my basic level pvp play. To promote people experimenting I suggest some gear designed to compliment perks rarely used. To get more players interested I again suggest a perk rework. My fear is they make some wussy support class or make the class bugged. My hope is they remember the original design and create an aggressive neutral class. Either way using it and winning is really fun and no one can justify losing anymore lmao

Exactly my thoughts. All other roaming supers have on average 3-4 kills per super. Sunsinger 2 kills at most and then you die midway from primary fire, ridiculous.

Edited by LinOfDarkness: 10/22/2016 3:57:54 AMSunsinger can definetly shine yes, but i do think we need a buff. I think more supportive type roles would make sense

I feel like Fireborn needs to get a couple buffs. Mainly additional armor and a few seconds of greatly increased agility. Flameshield either needs to get the original over shield strength back, or lose the increased cool down. Either way, it also should lose the delay. Solar wind ought to have the same strength as a phalanx shield push when fully charged. I wouldn't even mind if they increased the cool down and reduced the damage. Heck they could remove the damage and only leave Scorch's DoT. I just want to send enemies and guardians flying. Song of Flame should be intrinsic to Radiance. Angel of Light should also improve the Glide ability. Like more upwards momentum and more aerial maneuverability if using the control vs focused burst.

As it stands right now Sunsingers are below average when it comes to supporting the team. Titans have Defender, Hunters have Nightstalker, and Warlocks have Sunsinger... if you want to count that as helpful. Before anyone says anything I know Sunsinger with Fusion grenades can put out some serious DPS, but I think they should be able to compete with Titans and Hunters. Weapons of light can give all teammates 25% more weapon damage and with Illuminated it goes up to 35%. Melting point applies a 50% debuff on a single target instantly. Tether applies a 35% debuff on any enemies caught within the tether. Viking Funeral can stack up to 3 times for a maximum of 15% more damage to a single enemy. I propose a change to Viking Funeral to bring it more in line with the other 2 classes damage buffs. Instead of Viking Funeral stacking up to 3 times for 15% more damage, how about Bungie removes the stacking and makes it an instant 25% debuff. (Similar to how Melting Point works.) So every time a burn is applied it would put a 25% debuff on the target and if another burn is applied it just resets the timer of the debuff. I feel that 25% is a good number because the debuff can be applied by grenades or melee so if it were any higher it would make Tether and Melting Point obsolete. 25% would be less than both of those while still providing a significant boost to dps. I think that this is exactly what Sunsingers need to truly be classified as "Support". Please feel free to give your thoughts and if you agree let's get this trending so Bungie can see it and hopefully do something about it.

The only improvements I really want are: Viking Funeral's debuff effect being increased to 10%, and resetting it's duration when stacking. Solar Wind pushing enemies further than 5ft, and not only when you're on the ground. Some damn consistency would be nice as well. Rarely actually works.
-
I think all they need is either a buff to VF debuff time, or the burn ticks to apply stacks and refresh duration. As of right now the only way to get three stack is to melee in between two grenades. Applying a stack will not refresh the timer so that 15% bonus damage is only up for less then a second. Even if you are in radiance you cannot get 15% with just grenades. I also think while in radiance it should allow for more stacks. 5 stack would bring it to 25% and 15% with grenades out side of super. This would still be below the other support debuffs while in super but the fact that grenades them selves apply it you would have to keep it a bit lower.
-
The only thing i would do to sunsinger is buff viking funeral from 5% to 10%. Other than that i think it's fine.
-
I think they need to get rid of Song of Flame and just make it part of the super
-
Sunsingers dont need a buff.
-
Sunsingers will be improved when your grammar does. Seriously, it's so simple! Apostrophes shorten words or show possession! Is it really that hard?
-
Sunsinger, Sunbreaker, and Defender all pretty much need buffs. But, because this is your post I'll just address Sunsingers. First, you should try the dual grenade/melee artifact using touch of flame and viking funeral... it does pretty well. Second, that's it... I didn't have much to add.
-
Make self-rez permanent and give the other ability choices more supportive effects, like one that increases allies weapon damage or shield
-
Defender always has been and always will be the top tier PVE class in this game, throw in ruin wings and memory of gheleon and there is just zero reason to play any other class. But that's just one bubblebro's 2 cents ;)
-
I agree Sunsinger is very underwhelming atm in pvp. ~ATullo~
-
Song of Flame should Ignite enemies in the same radius as the buff.. It's near useless as is.
-
Sunsinger is just fine in PvE as long as you don't focus on self rez only
-
Sunsinger Melee: Flame shield-either lasts longer, stronger resistance, or activates immediately.(only two of these) Knock back melee(I forgot the name)- make it send enemies flying!! and increase melee range, as far as the stormcaller with that perk that extends it.(Not many people use this anyways, plus it might be a good way to stop people resurrecting teammates in skirmish/salvage/trials). Grenades: Solar- make them last longer and do more damage. (At least in radiance). Fire bolt- explosives as soon as it hits the ground(and damage starts immediately, no more being able to roll out of it). increase range( it's actually very small) Super: increase armor, movement speed, health regeneration, and melee recharge during radiance. Song of Flames- make it appear visually(like skorries), radiance lasts longer, and in radiance, increased jump speed. Radiant skin- increase the armor granted by radiant skin, it should be stronger to make self res not an "insta pick" for trials.
-
Max discipline with Sunbreakers is hella fun but yeah overall I would agree with ya.
-
Warlock Sunsinger has the worst PVP stats of all subclasses. It definitely needs a buff.

Add the crimson doubles buff as an intrinsic ability to radiance or maybe tie it to radiant skin. Faster weapon handling and increased armor recovery and agility. Literally the exact same as what was in crimson doubles. This would drag some people off only using it for self rez because this would give it real capability to push with without making anything OP or unbalanced. Sign if you agree!
