SUNSINGERS UNITE - Bungie please Listen - Buffs For Support, tweaks, general Fixes, Silimar nerfing ETC.

EDIT 1: Keep it coming guys, post your feedback, Hope Bungie see this. EDIT 2: Yeah I know pushing like a Phalanx Shileld is too much, what I'm trying to say is that Solar Wind does need to push a bit harder. EDIT 3: It seems a 20 m aura is too much, reducing it to a Radius of 11 m. EDIT 4: I understand some of these buffs are too much, and might even be OP, my purpose is to share ideas, generate feedback and raise awareness about Sunsingers. Thank you all. [b]The purpose[/b] of this post is generate a much needed awareness about Sunsingers, It's fine if you don't agree. Buffs are subject to change. BUNGIE I know you've read this at least once, do your best would you? Thanks, from a Veteran Warlock. [b][u]BUFFS[/u][/b] [b]-Radiance general changes[/b] 1. Radiance now inherently affects your allies. 2. [b]Song of Flame[/b] (Abilities cooldown for your allies) [b]becomes intrinsic to Radiance[/b] 3. [b]You[/b] and your [b]allies[/b] under the effect of Radiance [b]receive a 50% boost to recovery and +5 Agility.[/b] 4. Radiance now has a [b]visible AOE dome to encourage players rally together and let them know where the Sunsinger is, so they can recharge their buffs.[/b] 5. The [b]AOE[/b] dome will have a [b]radius of 11 meters.[/b] 6. Players can pass through the AOE to regain their buffs, just like Ward of Dawn. 7. Further details; *For you, the Sunsinger, [b]Radiance will now recharge Grenades and Melees as if you had Tier 5 Stats.[/b] This is, no more inconvenience for having poor Discipline and Strength Stats, you’ll always get the most out Radiance. [b]Thus the new Radiance would read “Fill [i]yourself[/i] and your [i]allies[/i] with solar light, [i]dramatically increasing the effectiveness of your abilities, recovery and agility[/i].”[/b] [b]-Song of Flame 2.0[/b] 8. With the new SoF, you and your allies’ [b]weapons will constantly replenish ammo from existing reserves, no need to reload. Really good buff for Boss DPS.[/b] [b]-Flameshield[/b] 9. Revert the nerf on recharge time. It takes 33% more time than average melees. [b]-Solar Wind[/b] 10. It will now push harder, 1/3 of Phalanx Shield strength. Something considerable to justify the perk. [b]-Brimstone[/b] 11. Enemies damaged by Brimstone explosion will ignite. [b]-Sunburst[/b] 12. In addition to Orb generation on melee kills, all [b]orbs generated by the Sunsinger will recharge Grenade and Melee abilities for your Allies on pick up.[/b] [b]-Firebolts[/b] 13. Revert the nerfs on Range and arming time. [b]-Angel of Light[/b] 14. [b]Provides “Icarus” for all weapons. Under Radiance Angel of Light allows for extensive, faster Gliding[/b] to have some much needed mobility around the map. I need to point this out; Memory of Silimar is a [b]DIRECT NERF[/b] on Sunsingers, I'm having [b]players living through 2 of my firebolts with Burn when they should've died, just to give you an Idea of how messed up this is[/b]. [b]Bungie you give us this artifact as if OG Viking Funeral and Y1 Thorn were still around, don’t you see Sunsingers are biting the dust in PVP? C'mon guys![/b]

  • Sunsinger main for year 1 and some of year 2. Have not touched sunsinger for pvp since all the nerfs. The radiant skin stealth nerf still had sunsinger usable but all the other crap made it worthless I was using sunbreaker Titan for a month or two and it's hilarious. The perks basically have you a tankier better version of a sunsinger. Incindary grenade with touch of flame is better than Viking funeral firebolt because you can 1shot based on grenade placement but the burn has the same radius as the firebolt. And kills with fire heal you? Sunsinger is horrible for pvp end of story

  • Silimar is fine. That's the whole point of it, so you don't have to worry about burn so much, but you miss out on the effects of the other artifacts. It's pretty situational. It's alright for a Ramlock to survive a gg shot, but that hunter survives burn and "Oh man, It's OP!" Biased a little? Don't get me wrong, I love playing my warlock too, and I wish more than anything that Viking Funeral was back to the way it was. I used to love the multi-kills I got from dropping solar grenades on a whole team trying to cap a zone. That doesn't mean I think Silimar is any problem though.

  • Some notes. I like the idea that there's a visual area to were you affect your allies but i don't think that it needs it should be intrinsic. The SoF idea doesn't make much sense... Flame shield is fine now no buff I 100% agree about solar wind they should be pushed back, but far enough out of melee distance for all classes. Yes to brimstone but the damage amount should be something small. No to sunburst. Just no. Firebolts are fine right now there just to as good as another warlock class grenade. But there still good. I like the icarus idea for Angela of light. Cool but the others isn't needed. Memory of simlar effects EVERYONE. Hunters have damage of time grenades and knifes, titans have multiple damage of time effects, thorn exist again. So don't whine about that.

      • Too OP changes. As a warlock main who has 3 warlocks, I disagree with most of this. The only thing that needs to be changed that I like is the super. WARLOCKS NEED A SUPPORT SUPER. Reviving ourselves is not helpful to raid teams. I love the idea of the reserve ammo instant reload ability.

        • Here's an idea, make self-Rez always active (but reduces the radiances time) and here would be the 3 super abilities 1. Decreases grenade and melee cool down for all nearby teammates 2. Gives a small overshield for you and nearby teammates 3. Increases the weapon damage for you and nearby teammates These abilities would mostly effect you, and would be less effective on teammates

          • Sunsingers are balanced. The only thing that needs to change is the ridiculous tracking that fusion nades have. And that goes for sun breakers too. Otherwise they are fine.

            • Sunsingers are not weak in pvp by any means. I had a few 10 kill streak games with mine last night. Sure they could use some tweaking in the support area but other than that they are fine.

              • I like the idea, but the 50% recovery boost to allies seems a bit over the top, I'd say 25% at most. The radiance user himself can still keep the 50% but I really don't think teammates should get the 50% buff without even having on the current song of flame

                  Like: - Song of flame being intrinsic, would make sunsinger a far better support role, not mentioning how little SoF is actually used to begin with. - Sunburst, again, far better support role - Angel of light, makes it a more viable option - AoE dome would be a nice touch. Don't like: - SoF 2.0, change it to something like "replenishing light" and have it replace SoF on the perk tree, makes it balanced IMO. No opinion on the other changes.
