What are some of the primary's that stand out during the raid?
-
For me, Grasp Of Malok kills ads the quickest.
-
High impact scout rifle with tripple tap, I use the hand of judgement hammer forge/explosive rounds/tripple tap and it is so reliable it's crazy, The raid scout rifle is ideal if you have that.
-
Hung jury (firefly) Shotgun Sword/Gally
-
For normal, whatever primary you're comfortable with. For hard mode, Chaos Dogma/Genesis Chain.
-
I'd get a scout or hc with explosive rounds and crowd control

Edited by Nash: 10/21/2016 1:39:29 AMIf you can get a hold of a high rate of fire auto rifle with spray and play, I would recommend that. From vendors, angel's advocate at the vanguard rep is quite powerful boasting outlaw/reactive reload + explosive rounds. With my arminius d I clear trash very quickly. 1.2 mags will take out a captain. This lets me run either sleeper simulant or a sword and a legendary sniper (w/ spray/play.)

10 RepliesAnything you're comfortable with, really. If you grind crucible, you can get a cryptic dragon with firefly. Anything with firefly is helpful.

2 RepliesEdited by Mish: 10/20/2016 6:48:54 AMScout/sniper/Ghorn or sword , Scout/shotgun/Ghorn or sword. Worked fine for me so far, HC are good but the reload and range on them isn't effective enough for me, scout rifle for adds and boss damage works better than anything

4 RepliesYour hopscotch will do just fine, young wolves howl isn't worth it (dark drinker is considerably better) and you could do with a higher impact sniper at least 1000 yd archetype but your primary will do the job.
-
1 ReplyI've been using the Iron Banner scout, I believe it is called Distant Star. Works well. The original vendor Hung Jury will get the job done nicely as well. Chaos Dogma's stability is not as good as either of the others, getting the perks to proc with relative consistency is tough.

What are some of the primary's that stand out during the raid?
Good advise below on depending on the need for the weapon. You might laugh but I have a brilliant IB hand cannon pretty much a god roll, I use that for the boss fight. One shots the shanks.

Vosik: Scout or Pulse Engine: Auto or Pulse Aksis: Scout or Pulse I prefer scouts whenever possible in this raid, especially as a Titan. I find myself using the Empyrean Bellicose quite often, though I never considered it useful prior to WotM. It allows you to evade splash damage from Vosik's cannon and usually Aksis' SIVA swarms, as well. If you choose that as your exotic armor slot, then definitely use a scout. You'll get more shots off while in air than with a pulse and since you'll have to account for increased distance due to height, you're going to want good impact as well as range. Scouts usually have a more consistent stability and recoil than most pulse rifles so you have more time to aim at different targets because you won't have to be adjusting much. That's all just my opinion though. Whatever you're comfortable with is what you should go with.

A good primary is one that is 370+ and shoots white ammo crates. Also, it hurts the enemy then it is just fine. If you qualify with all of these then you have yourself a good primary for this raid.

1 ReplyWhat's good for your first run ever though? I'm thinking of doing the normal raid soon and naturally don't have Chaos Dogma or Outbreak Prime.
-
Hung jury !!!! Used it on hard mode and normal !
-
I use my Hopscotch Pilgrim
-
Chaos Dogma and Outbreak Prime are great choices
-
The best weapons for the raid are the raid primaries themselves. Genesis chain and Chaos Dogma just melt adds. If you haven't gotten any of these yet then I would say scout rifle like Cryptic Dragon with outlaw and either explosive rounds or zen moment Definately a sword if your running a cannon High impact sniper with spray and play or if you're exotic slot is free then black spindle.

Imago loop.

-
All are good, not high RoF autos though.
-
Last completion i used nothing but imago.

4 RepliesIt's all about the perk that helps you and the part you are in:
This is only based on normal mode exp
- Entrance: Whatever you like - Voksis: Dreg waves: firefly is great to clear them out Buuuuut Shank waves: no crit spots. Therefore I personnaly prefer a weapon that doesn't perks procking on crits only. Grenadier, surrounded (almost allways active), reactive reload or crowd control would have my preference, plus any perks that either help health wise or reload wise. - siege engine: depends on your role Carrier: you are not going to use your primary a lot. When you carry you can't shoot, and when you are shooting you might prefer heavy or special for faster add clearance.... until you can pick up a piece again. Add control: heavy all day. (void exotic sword at top) Primary is more last resort imo if you run low on ammo. - Aksis part 1: all ennemies have critical hits. Firefly does a great job here. - Aksis part 2: shanks all day. -> perks procking on critical hits are basically useless. Life support, reactive reload. Handcannon with mid/high impact and explosive rounds is best.

Lord high fixer, still best gun in the game...

1 ReplyI mainly used autos, until I got the chaos dogma. I just love that thing now.
-
2 RepliesChaos Dogma~ or Outbreak Prime is what I use. It's really whatever works best for you though.
