Raid Boss Concept: Teslak - Arc Guardian [POLL INSIDE]

[b]First boss: Teslak - Arc Guardian[/b] Arena layout will be a large square platform with a similarly-shaped hole in the center. In this hole will be 9 significantly smaller square platforms arranged in a 3x3 grid. Stepping on any of the platforms in the center before they are relevant to the fight will cause a nearby Arc reactor to overload and kill everything. Boss starts at Back-Middle, he has an Arc shield, but it is completely impenetrable. Boss will shoot at fireteam members with an Arc Cannon, roaming around the platform at random. Adds will spawn, and the fireteam will have to clear them so as to not get overwhelmed. After 2 waves of adds, a Major enemy with an Arc shield will spawn. It will try to make its way to Teslak, you must kill it before it gets to him to progress the fight. If it reaches the boss, he will absorb energy from it and perform a powered up variant of the Showstopper technique which will instantly kill everyone. The player credited with the kill for the major will receive a buff labelled "Tesla Charge", with a timer for 20 seconds, while it is active the player will receive a drastic boost to Agility, but a sharp decrease to Armor. The effects of this buff are doubled if the player has an Arc subclass equipped. [b][i]Teslak seeks power[/i][/b] The boss will put away his cannon and summon a giant Arc Blade. He will then begin slashing his way towards the player with this buff, killing anyone stupid enough to get between them in a single hit. The player with the buff needs only to survive until the timer on the buff expires to progress the fight. If the player with the buff is killed, the boss will absorb the Arc Energy from them and, again, will perform a powered up variant of the Showstopper technique...which will instantly kill everyone. [b][i]The reactor is growing unstable[/i][/b] Assuming the timer expires and so does the buff, the boss will then move back to his starting position and spawn four solid holograms of himself. One of them will jump onto a platform in the 3x3 grid in the middle. Another player will then be required to stand on a different platform (they can choose). Another Teslak hologram will then jump onto another platform, followed by another player. Essentially, the fireteam must play Tic-Tac-Toe with the boss' holograms and 4 of their own members (2 of the fireteam repelling adds that have started spawning again). Losing the game causes the reactor to overload and kill you. If you draw, the boss' holograms will dissipate, the discharge caused by this stunning the boss, removing his shield, and allowing you to damage him. Winning the game does the same thing, except the discharge is much more violent and will also cause significant damage to the boss in addition to the stun. [b][i]The reactor has stabilized[/i][/b] After 20 seconds (or 30 if you won the game), the boss' shield is restored and the cycle begins again, except this time there will be 2 majors that must be killed, then 3 in the next cycle (it caps at 3). Tesla Charge is given to all players credited with a major kill upon the death of the last major, Teslak will try and attack whichever buffed player is closest to him when this happens, and all buffed players must avoid death at the hands of Teslak's Arc Blade. [b]Heroic Differences:[/b] 1) Quantity of adds is greatly increased, more of them have Arc shields. 2) There are 2) Timer on Tesla Charge is increased to 30 seconds, forcing the player with the buff to survive for longer. 3) Draw only grants 15 seconds of time to damage boss, win gets 20 seconds. 4) After the damage phase ends, the major for the next round spawns as soon as the boss regains his shield, giving players less time to prepare for its arrival. [b]Challenge[/b] Defeat Teslak, winning every game of Tic-Tac-Toe along the way. [b]Rewards:[/b] [b]1)[/b] Raid Boots - Increases agility even further when under the effects of Tesla Charge. Once a week, high drop chance. [b]2)[/b] Teslak's Shocker (Arc Rocket Launcher) - This will be the Arc Cannon the boss uses against the players during the fight. It has a high rate of fire, velocity, magazine size, and reload speed. Its blast radius will be on the lower end of the spectrum. Its primary perk allows the user to pack more reserve ammo than normal, and provides them with a brief Agility boost when killing minions of the darkness. Once a week, low drop chance, chance increases each time raid is completed, resets when item is obtained. [b]3)[/b] Violet Glimmer - Material item. Glimmer with unusual properties, used to upgrade and change the stats on Raid Gear. Guaranteed drop. [b]4)[/b] Exotic Shard - Once a week, guaranteed drop. [b]5)[/b] Exotic Engram - Not normal drop, but the boss is compatible with 3 of Coins. [b]6)[/b] The usual stuff - Regular Glimmer, Vanguard rep, EXP, etc. [b]Feedback[/b] So, this is my idea for a Raid boss. What Raid will it go into? I have a vague idea, but I'll talk about that later. Yes, I intend to put together more ideas in the near future, but first I want to know what you guys think about this one. Is the idea good? Is it bad? Could you give me some constructive criticism?
